| Psychopath Registered: Mar. 02  | Philly radio now sucks worse then a Vos show. What used to be a great rock station got better when they got OA to fill their afternoon drive time slot. They made a grave mistake by adding Don and Mike. Air time they used to devote to popular local jocks is now filled by unfunny 40+ douche bags. No longer is there a place for good rock in Philly. Something must be done about Don and Mike. I was just wondering if anyone in or around the Philly area agrees with me. "Some birds just aren't meant to be caged." | ||||

After all, our favorite people aren't exactly spring chickens. They're gonna hit that age in the next few years. Are you saying that they will suck just because they're Over the Hill? I hope not. I finally switch the dial over a little and never have I been so happy to hear Pierre Robbere's voice. I think D&M turned me into a fag. So I think the Philly consensus on D&M is as follows: We'd rather suck dick than listen to D&M! | ||||

I actually listened to them last week on my day off - they were doing a "best of". One of their wives wanted them to get a couple girls and paint them because "he has artistic talent". They hired pros and strippers, so the wife calls and they have a 20 minute argument on the radio. Snooze city. | Hanger-On Registered: Jan. 01 | When Ron and Fez were on in the afternoon I used to listen to WNEW all day at work. When they made the change to Don and Mike I did try to listen but they are so bad I gave up. I now listen to the Ferrall then change to CD's. The only problem is if I get caught up in work I tend to miss the first half hour to hour of Opie and Anthony. The other downside is I don't get to listen to the whole Ron and Fez show. | ||||

Philly wants Ron & Fez!!!!!!!!!!!!! | ||||

I was in Philly this past week, and I noticed how the people I know down there, switch the station after the morning show to WMMR and never turn it back. Sabean, YSP and Infinity fail to relize that the MOST successful station format for the morning show and O&A are to have them as bookends to an active rock format, with music following O&A. As one can tell by the overall numbers at WNEW, not many people like the all-talk format for the demographic O&A dominate. Sure, the CUME is great, but the numbers would be much better if stern and O&A are the only non-music shows on the station. D&M were supposed to be on YSP along time ago. I don't know that facts...whether or not it was Tim Sabean or Infinity or BOTH that kept them off as long as they did. But I think Sabean getting the programming duties at the Chicago station might be tied in somewhere as part of the negotiations.  | ||||

Anyone hear the very 1st philly show where they just played fart noises through a really long clip of...err...i can't remember who now...but thats just how bad the suck. They should just play a best of O&A before the live show if they want an all talk format. If not go back to the music for the love of god.
