I got their little diary booklet thing and started filling it out, if you listen to alot of radio (i do, in Philly, both rock stations, an alternative station, O&A and the Phillies games), and you gotta fill this damn thing out to the letter to i trashed it. ...fear in a handful of dust. | ||||

| Psychopath Registered: Jan. 01 | According to DCRtv.com O&A are 15th overall (they were 14th last trend) and 9th 25-54 (they were 8th last trend. The trends don't mean all that much anyway the ones that really count are the seasonal books especially spring & fall, the spring book comes out next month. O&A were not the only ones to drop on JFK, D&M did also (from 2nd to 3rd overall). The trend didn't include what went down besides the bickering back & forth at the very end, started approx Feb 23 and ended May 24. | ||||

Yeah, I keep forgetting that New York is a conservative breeding ground - say "HI" to Hillary for me, sometime. "I am so sick of hearing about DC. " Welcome to the club - now you know how DC feels about NY. All of the shows at WJFK went down a smidge - however, the local shows (Don and Mike and The Sports Junkies) are still doing better, over all, than the others (Stern, O&A), which has got to be tough for them (WJFK) to explain - why the morning and afternoon drive shows are being outperformed by the WJFK shows on at lunch and dinner. (On a side note: have any other DC listeners noticed that the commercial breaks on WJFK seem to have gotten longer and longer? With the exception of the Stern - whose breaks have always been too long - and the Junkies, it seems they are a good 2 - 4 minutes longer than they use to be). Slap was right about this not taking into account the hissy fits the two shows had last month; I can imagine a spike in both shows, followed by a big drop off, but who knows (really) until the actual numbers come out. Which is ironic, because the music stations here suck (the bigger the city=the worse the radio). No, I don't think you can spin this that way - D&M did well in that time slot, O&A will do well too. WJFK just needs to keep them on long enough to build and regroup the listeners. And while the radio ratings may not be 100% accurate, they are accurate enough for the industry to support it. Miniscule difference seperating top three shows. Did O&A ever discuss the ratings in any detail. They mentioned them at the beginning of the show...but never got back to the topic. They did make refence again to the fact that the station is looking for two possible three new programs. Does that mean R&F are on the fence:-( ARI | ||||

Calls about O&A or WNEW get dumped left and right. They did mention that the entire station is sliding down, with theirs and the Junkies being the least severe. They did get a small slam in on Howard (who has dropped back to 6th in his time slot), getting beaten out by oldies, two "urban" music/talk shows, one other I can't remember (maybe a news talk show) and DC-101. Donnie Simpson is a DC institution, and even an old friend of Howards, and they've traded top ratings for years - it's being beat by Tom Joyner, the oldies station and DC-101's terrible Elliot in the Morning this is most embarrassing! Trust me - if DC-101 moved Elliot to the afternoon, and O&A in the AM, they could beat Stern in this market. (ok...now I guess I'm a PR genious...) S/H/I/T/ | ||||

The liars and thieves are imports from across the country to work in politics (few people are FROM the Washington)...as far as being POOR, the average annual income in the DC area is the highest in the US. Even our poorest "poor" people are making $40K a year. S/H/I/T/ (Slug - I am paying under $1000 for a two bedroom in Arlington, view of DC - i've been in the building so long I'm paying less than what they are now getting for the 1 bed rooms).
