Has anyone noticed that the show has changed in the past two days, they are not taking that many phone calls from listeners and where are the calls from Philly. It seems that they are afraid to take Philly calls?

What the hell are you talking about!?!
They took calls earlier and, as always, will take calls at the end of the show. They are not taking calls 'cause they are doing a show! What the fuck is there to fear by taking Philly calls? Damn you suck!

They are taking as many calls as they always do when there is a full house. You are hearing things that aren't there. Don't worry about it.

there was a lot of activity on the show today, they don't take a lot of phone calls when they have a lot of guests. also, do you expect them to focus on philly everyday?

they've been through the "purge" before, and they'll do it again.

Why don't you sit there with a little click-counter and monitor the number of calls taken every day for a month, then get back to us.

When there are guests on the show, they don't take much phone calls because they let the guests do their own thing.
If it bothers ya, stop listening, and go listen to music, ok?

The only difference I've heard it that Ant keeps switching back and forth between Bud Lite and Sam Adams.

Also Ant seems to be throwing in One liners using his impressions more often than he usually does. But he has to intruduce the characters somehow and it makes more sense to do it this way than fabricate impression bits.

I'd say the transition has been almost seamless and will only lead to the NY audience hearing some more of the classic bits, and I can see nothing negative about this.

Wah, Wah, Wah. Of course the show is going to change some. Do you expect them to go national and cater only to the New York audience. If you have been listening since they came to WNEW, it was pretty much the same thing. Everybody yelled for two years, Syndication Now! Then when they get it, people start whinning their not the same anymore. Geezez people, let it happen. I talked with a neighbor of mine tonight that listened to them on YSP. He hated them yesterday. He was pissing his pants today. He's hooked. Duh!!

Personally, I haven't noticed any changes at all with the show itself.

I even recorded the first couple of hours of yesterday's show thinking it would be different in some way and it wasn't so I trashed it.

Other than the removal "102.7 WNEW" mentions (because of syndicatoin) the only other change is that there are not as many station sweepers for other shows.

The only change I noticed was MORE AD TIME. I'm aware that with syndication the show will have to follow more time restraints, I just hope it doesn't throw off the boys' timing and spontanaity. I used to get such a kick when Ope would say, "We HAVE to take a break" and everyone would keep talking for another 5 minutes.

The only difference I"ve noticed is Opie's uncontrollable stuttering, he's worse than Billy from Cuckoo's Nest and Michael Palin in Fish Called Wanda combined.

The only thing I've notice is the intro. I hate it. I hated in when D&M did it. Effin A, start of with a song or the 20 seconds of street fighter man. Hearing Opie saying Cunt 2 before every show is getting tired (after 2 shows).

This isn't a "change" per se because it's really new to the Philadelphia station but they bumpers out of commercial, the intros... are so effin' G A Y !
I know that a caller mentioned them to O&A on the air, but they have to crack down and maybe just have their WNEW announcer do them in NY.

SO GAY!

The show definetly sounds more like a well...radio show. As opposed to before when it was just the guys hangin out bull-shiting, not caring about anything. I hope they stop giving a shit again, its more gooder that way.

Wow, they are just fine, and they will settle down and have fun, but the new people wont understand any of the inside jokes or obscure references. Jut give it time, aren't WE the faithFUL listeners, well that means unconditional. All is wel, and they can only get even better, which is kinda scary.

They tried to hard on Thursday. The show was more like itself on Friday. There show really didnt play to the New York audience all that much. I dont think they need, or will, change much of anything. Oh, and about taking Philly calls, they havent exactly hammered home the phone number. I think theyve mentioned it a total of 6 times in two days(We all know it from listening to Ron and Fez but alot of Philly people might not have picked up on it yet).

If you're listening in NY, you don't know what's on air in Philly. During breaks, they could be putting the phone #'s out there. You just don't hear it in NY.

Well, the only main difference that I've seen is the fact that Opie says 877-692-1027 instead of 212-757-1027. Now I've been calling the toll-free number since the got it, it's way cheaper!!

the toll free # is the same as it was, great thing was that nobody really used it. Now I'm having a hell of a time calling in.....
