| Hanger-On Registered: Oct. 00  | Wnew has terminated "The Radio Chick Show" as of 7am this morning. I know I don't post much (mostly read) But I just wanted to let you know that I have my one solid source in the company. Now, if he is pulling my chain I'lm gonna kick his ass! But thats what I have... I know this is something we all saw coming a mile away. Personally I know that I never got into the show. I can't imagine Don and Mike being much better. I guess I'll listen from 3 - 11pm. The funny thing is that he (my source) could not tell me for certain that Ron and Fez were going to nights... I'm not sure what that means though. I Can't believe that WNEW would let them go. But we all know how managment works at this radio station. Well, thats all I have to say. I'll go back under my rock for another couple of months. Final comments: This board is great! You guys add another dimension to the show. O &A rule! seeya | ||||

People are either at work or sleeping. When the Chick was 10-2, she was a decent lead in for O & A. The Sports Guys can toss my salad with their .5. Fuckin douche bags. | ||||

I think her reasoning was that her slot was officially 10-3, but O/A were running 'worst of' for the 2-3 hour. Funny that the proposed lineup is one that I, along with alot of people on this board, have been talking about since Ron and Fex got moved to mid-days. If they go ahead with this move, it will go to show you that it requires little to be a program director at a station. This could be a good thing for non-NY stations, if they have a lineup of the Old Man in the morning, Don and Mike @middays, O and A afternoons, etc.  | ||||

| Hanger-On Registered: Oct. 00 | The Chick did lose 2 hours...in a way. Even though she has a 3 hour show, just 1 hour short of her old 10-2 slot, the change of time really hurt her. Most of her listeners were from 12-2, not from 10-12. Thats where she lost 2 hours. Overall, she only lost 1 hour from her show. But the change in time hurt her ratings. Yeah, her show was and still is mediocre, but from what I've heard of Ron and Fez, she's better than they are. My solution: Fire everyone but O & A. Give mornings to Norton and Vos, middays to Otto & George, and nights to Kasey Casem. | ||||

| Psychopath Registered: Oct. 00 | Now here's how I see it: Sports Guys get bumped up to a 6-10 slot (maybe Earl's Public Service Show can play best-of's from 5-6) Ron and Fez (dotcom!) get the air from 10(AM)-2(PM). ONA get their 2-3 Hour -o'-Worst-Of's back, and stay (duh) from 3-7. Don and Mike keep their cherry 7-11 gig. Loveline also keeps their swank 11(PM)-3(AM) time-slot. Questions? Comments? Complaints? If you think about it, if WNEW REALLY wanted to boost ratings, you'd take some of the people that help make the O & A show funny and give them their own shows. It just seems to make sense. Jay Mohr would be good with Gay Marco, but I don't think Jay would want his own radio show. I can't see why some of the other stand-ups wouldn't want their own show. It was allow them to plug the shit out of their appearances. The Sports Guys need to get cancer and die. | ||||

When you look at it that way, the Radio Chick show did thus then lose it's 2 biggest hours and that could account for some of the ratings drop. I think alot of people lost interest in the show after the firing, though. I know I did. I was happy when R/F moved. I listen to them almost every day on my lunch break. I could see how people wouldn't like them b/c they have a certain weird brand of humor. They really grew on me and I'd probably listen to them after o/a. I think they should replace either the sports guys or Don and Mike with the retarded Lavern/Shirley show. Josh | ||||
