| O&A Board Veteran Registered: Feb. 01 | This was not a decision I wanted to make. I have put it off for a very long time with each new offense he has created. I know that I am going to get a backlash from this, I knew it would not be a popular choice. I could care less who posts where, but when I get people emailing me, wondering why they're getting invited to post on other websites by people they don't even know or talk to, then I see that as spamming. Lgaia asked not to get drawn into this, she doesn't want any part one way or the other. I see no difference between people posting their link here, or going around and plucking emails out of user profiles and spreading their links that way. He did this of his own initiative, behind even Sean's back. I have more than enough past reasons to ban Kid, he even admitted I should have banned him the second he put up his last post questioning my integrity. In addition, there is a separate matter he is involved in that I promised a fellow mod not to discuss as a matter of friendship & security, which more than enough warrants his expulsion. This goes much deeper than any personal issue. I do not have any affinity for him, but I always respected him as an intelligent person. Very rarely do I ban anyone for any reason, and never have I made things personal. I don't expect any of you to have to worry about any backlash. If someone wants to know the details or the reasons, you can direct them to me or tell them that it was my decision. I respect your opinions and if would like to discuss this here, that's fine. I have always given an open mind to your thoughts and points. But this was my decision and whether you agree or not, I would at least appreciate your support in public. I'm not trying to put any bad aura on your site. You know that I only wish you the best of success. And you know I'm here to help you when you need it. I will defend my position if I have to, Opak couldn't even defend it when he spoke to me in IM's. All he could muster was that Kid had pissed him off. I don't know how many emails he has sent, it's taken this long for one to surface, according to Lgaia he sent it earlier this week, but she hasn't had the time to research it. But where does the line get drawn? Whether he sent out one or a hundred when is it acceptable and when isn't it. I'm honestly not trying to pursue any vendetta. Did Kid's past contribute to this banning. Yes, I won't deny that. You can believe me or not, but those of you who know me, know I'm an honest person. I have never acted on emotion when deciding to ban or not. His new sig only causes more problems and not only portrays a slanted view of this, but places blame unfairly on other parties involved. No. He's a nice guy via AIM and in-person, but that does that change things... It shouldn't. This all is just an accumulation of things he's done. Was JMB given this kind of leeway??? I think not. This guy politics and ingratiates himself to more people than Strawberry ever could. He was given so much leeway, he could package and sell it on the street. Enough's enough already. Froy has more than patient, b/c at times, Kid has been a good poster...but ultimately, we are better off without the negative ways. I support him gone. What Matt is talking about was a comment made by Kid to redirect this board to mine. Do I agree with such actions? I am going to go with, ummm, no, I do not. I do not need my site tied in with some bullshit like that. Do I think he would do it? Nope, I think that would take way too much effort for him to even be bothered with. What no one seems to be grasping at this point is that this is all a moot point. Kid already won. He wanted all records of him gone and thats what he got. My whole point is with Froy knowing this, he still kept him here and even warned him as of last week that he would boot his ass if he farted in the wrong direction. He kept to his end of the deal so I will do so with mine. Am I still pissy about how my site is going to look at the end of all this? Well, yeah. Maybe at one point I wanted to tear this place to shreds but wether I think he is a dick or not or if he runs this site well or not, Matt is still my friend. After viewing said site you still think that my main goal is to destroy OA.com, well, I can just delete your account and you can go fuck yourself for all I care. BM, you were invited for the simple fact that you were involved with STM. I was also extending the olive branch of letting you in on what is going on to prove that my differences with you are in the past. I am willing to stay on board for now, but, not if you fuckers will continue to be rats and work against each other all the way. He has done evrything from undermine the mods to blast this site to even quitting and cause countless arguments. But at the same token he was a major contributer and trully a guy I still like no matter what. We rode him like no one else cause he could also drive you to insanity like no one else, look at the fuckin guys status to prove that. I've wanted to ban him atleast a dozen times and gave him 2 strikes and itched to hand him a third. But like I always said a martyr can only nail one hand to the cross. I was not about to nail the other for afrika. In essence this is what afrika always wanted, he will still be accessable to other members and on other boards. He will still be in everyones minds but he will also be a martyr now as well. I am with Slash on this while I will not publically nor privately in IMs support the decision. I will also not demoralize matt for it nor even comment on it. People will know why he was banned but that is all, we can not in fairness not tell them why but I personally will not discuss it any further than that. I have fucked up in the past and matt stood by me, so in my best I will do him the favor by not burning him in other members eyes for this. Froy did what we all wanted to do, only froy fucked up in the fact that he banned him for a offense that doesn't even rank with all the other shit he has pulled. Yes he invited someone to a message board. But hell wackbag, corpse's site and especially RF.net and howie have done the same fuckin thing or where did they get their members from? The only reason howie was different was first off he was not an OA board nor in direct competiton and he kept it private. The others did not and plenty of people can be banned for afrikas offense. The plain and simple truth is he was banned for an off board offense. But it is done now and there is nothing we can do. When we go with our emotions in the heat of passion and emotion we make terrible decisions and Matt made one, he fucked up and he admits it. Afrika is gone and for the wrong reason but not too many people here can say they never wanted him gone. So as the old saying goes.. cast the first stone.  I'm Deep Inside Your Children.
