| O&A Board Regular Registered: Jan. 01 | Whackbag, I gotta thank you about the link info; I've had the DVD for a week, but never bothered to put it into my DVD-rom, watching it instead on my standalone player. It seems the only way to link to the preview is via the interact player with the DVD in a DVD-rom I don't really see the purpose of having people wait until Nov 9th, especially if they are putting trailers in theater before.  | ||||

Starts out with the Lucas Logo....then the Vader breath starts, and thats all you hear through out the whole 5 f-ing minute thing.Shows Natalie Portman, Ewan McGregor with a beard running with the new Anakin Skywalker lightsabers blaring and all, and I think Boba Fett. Other than that just some cool computer graphics showing the clone army, a huge city and then thats it. Oh yeah....I know I know...Im gay for going to see Monsters Inc. Sue me! | Psychopath Registered: Oct. 00 | I took my GF to see Monsters Inc (good movie) last night and saw the New Star Wars Trailer. I agree w/ Mangino, it wasn't impressive at all. You hear Darth Vader breathing in the background while they give short flashes of characters faces. Other then that, you see nothing. | O&A Board Veteran Registered: Sep. 00 | You know, when the first Star Wars trailer came out, I was so excited I paid to see Waterboy for the second time just to see the trailer. It was only like two years ago and I had grown up with the series and even though more movies peaked my interest this was IT. This was the type of thing that really could have brought you back to your childhood, a more innocent time. Anyway...I got the first showing, I sat just to see the trailer. Now 3 years isnt' that long a time. Did I grow up more in those 3 years or was Episode 1 so bad that I don't care anymore...or am I too cheap and NY doesn't have fucking matinee prices for theaters which is ridiculous. Anyway, from what I've heard, the teaser was uninteresting didn't excite, didn't induce wonder and joy which is incredibly disappointing...but still, the Spider-Man teaser kicked ass and I bet that Raimi's take on the webslinger will destroy Lucas. | O&A Board Regular Registered: Jan. 01 | I've got the Ep1 DVD now and I when I watched it again, I didn't think it was so bad. The problem is that Ep 4-6 were SO big, and in the intervening years the anticipation built up so much, The "expanded universe" (books, etc.) that it would have taken an extraordinary movie to live to the hype. Being an old man, I remember the dissapointment some people had when Empire Strikes Back was released. On a side topics, Once upon a time it was considered a 9 story arc; now Lucas refers to it as a 6 story arc. - I guess He doesn't think he has the energy for the last episodes. I also think it is silly that he hasn't re-released episodes 4-6 on DVD - except for marketign reasons. | ||||
