| O&A Board Regular Registered: Dec. 00  | Heres for a pre and post game discussion about the Big Game later tonight. There is no greater rivalry in the sport and possibly all of sports when these two teams get together. And now with both teams improved, it should be even better. Ive been to just about every Ranger-Islander game at the Coliseum the past 5 or 6 years, and I will be there again tomorrow, and it should be electric. Hopefully Nedved will be back to play. And Ciger will be back from his 1 game Suspension. Bring it on!  | ||||

| O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | I know that the Islanders and their fans have been looking forward to this meeting even more this year, because they want to prove that they are legit and better than the Rangers. It will be a great game, and always is. I look for a wide open type of game with heavy hitting, probablya skirmish or two. In the end, I believe that the Rangers will prove to the Isles that the start of this season is an aberation, and that they will NEVER be better than the Rangers when its all said and done. Fan of the Giants and the Rangers. Hater of the rest of the NFC East and the Devils. | ||||

Remember the playoffs backin either 90-91 or 91-92, when Arbour put all his goons on the ice with 5 seconds to go in the series. I remember that fuck Baumgartner beating the crap out of Jeff Bloomberg. Ever since that day I have truley hated the Isles. {b] GO RANGERS!!! FB, While this is a GREAT rivalry, I don't know if I'd characterize it as one of the best, since Hockey fans are a minority in the NY area, even if we are rabid. I can't wait. A competitive Isles vs Rangers juices up the hockey season like no other. I expect alot of big hits and tough play. These games are always the best. I doesn't matter what there records are, these teams alway get up for each other....quote: If I'm not mistaken, I could be wrong, but I think potvin was playing against the rangers and checked a player. | O&A Board Regular Registered: Aug. 00 | x-filed, i know where it comes from, what i don't understand is why the idiots won't let it go now that it makes no sense. my personal fav series (yeah, i know i was 2 at the time, but i've seen highlights and replays) was the 1984 series, 4-1 isles win, morrow in ot in game 5. fb, mad mike has made some stupid moves, but he also never had as much money as the rangers organization, and not for nothing but if you compared the payrolls w/ the successes, the isles and rangers are probably real close the past few years. rage, lol good thinking darthziggy@opieanthony.com I'm off to Franklin Pierce College in September.
