The injuries to D. Moore, and C. Buckholter just killed. What was Buck before the injury? 6 for 50 yards? the Vincent injury...jeez......

Terrel Owens is not happy in San Francisco. He was the best receiver in the league this season and I would say last year too. Can the Eagles make him happy?

Did the injury to Rod Smart (He Hate ME) make him and expansion list player? How about Raashard Cook? MAybe, Duce? Don't be surprised who ends up on that expansion list... Trotter?

No way Owens is going to the Eagles. First, he's under contract. The Eagles have nothing, short of McNabb, to offer in a trade. Second, Reid always says he wants guys w/ a strong moral character on his team, Owens is a dirtbag.

I agree that Trotter may be in the expansion draft. The Eagles may protect him as a free agent though. What Eagles are going to be on the list? I think they have to put the names up pretty soon.

Finally, I don't know who the hell the Eagles think they are to assume that they getting an automatic invitation to the NFC championship game next year. Its hard to get to that level, especially if they have to face the Rams, Packers, or Niners in the play-offs. Maybe some other team, like the Pats did this year, will step up and shock the league. Nothing is guarnteed in the NFL.

I believe that the losers of the championship games have to have their expansion draft lists in 5 days after the game, or, at least by the Super Bowl. Which would be 7 days. Either way, I think both teams may have an unofficial list out by Wed/Thurs.

Expansion news:

Tight end Jeff Thomason topped the Eagles list of five qualified veteran players they must make available for the Houston Texans in the expansion draft to be held on Feb. 18.

In addition to Thomason, the Eagles' unprotected list included defensive backs Darrel Crutchfield and William Hampton, offensive lineman Ryan Schau and wideout Gari Scott.

Jeff Thomason - The No. 2 tight end, Thomason's biggest offensive performance came in the Divisional Playoff win at Chicago, when he hauled in a pair of receptions -- one on a 4th-and-1 and the other on a 3rd-and-14. Both first-down catches led to eventual touchdowns.
Other than that, Thomason's biggest plays came on special teams. He was also sidelined for two games with a knee hyperextension.

During the 2000 season, he was a clutch performer and go-to guy in the red zone -- with five of his 10 catches accounting for touchdowns.

Gari Scott - Plagued by injuries, the former Michigan State standout was inactive for 16 games in 2001, including all three playoff games.
He did, however, register his first two catches of his career in the season finale at Tampa Bay. One of his receptions set the Eagles up for the first of their two fourth-quarter scores.

Darrel Crutchfield - One of only two rookie free agents to make the Eagles roster, Crutchfield was inactive for 14 contests, including all three post-season games. He missed another due to a suspension.
In the season finale against the Buccaneers, the former Clemson product recorded three tackles.

The access draft requires the existing 31 NFL clubs to submit a list of five veteran players for selection by the Texans. Each club can put forward only one player who was placed on injured reserve after the start of the 2001 regular season and one player who has 10 or more years of free agency experience. Neither punters nor kickers may be part of the list.

The Texans must select between 30 and 42 players in the expansion draft or a fewer number of players with total salaries of 38 percent of the salary cap. An existing club can recall one player from its list after one of its players is selected. After a second player is selected from a club, that club can pull back both of its remaining players.

Houston takes the field next season and the Eagles will host the Texans in a regular season game (date remains TBA).

The expansion draft will be held in Houston on Feb. 18 at the George R. Brown Convention Center from 2:00 PM ET until approximately 5:00 PM. The draft will be televised by ESPN.
