| O&A Board Veteran Registered: May. 00 | OK it seems we have a dilemna, both oaawite's 24-20 and cluster's 27-17 were both 7 points off. oaawite was closer on the margin of victory for the pats, 4 points to 10 points margin with the actual being 3. But Im still not sure how to settle it. Should margin of victory be the tie-breaker or should something else? | O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | Wow, did i make some fucking money last night. This game proved my main point, that Belichek is a genius when it comes to drawing up defenses that work. The Rams didnt know what to do for pretty much the whole game, and the shots that they were taking were incredible. I think the MVP shouldve either been Ty Law or Adam Viniateri, but Brady did well at the end, when personally i thought they were gonna take a knee. This was top 3 of all time in super bowl history, right behind the Giants vs Bills and Rams vs Titans. **EDIT** Thanks FB, i think i deserve that status, for getting the right amount of points that the Rams would score, and was only 7 points away from getting the Pats right. I'll take Boston Fan and OAAWITE on for that status. However, I never waivered in my predictions. I predicted a much closer game than the blowout you foresaw. | Hanger-On Registered: Jan. 70 | Nope. Unacceptable. I was more righter. You said Brown would win MVP and return a punt for a TD. He didn't. You said he was going to be the Brady's main target. He had 101 catches. That's like saying that Keyshawn would have been Brad Johnson's main target. You said it would come down to special teams, and it didn't. Yes, the last play was special teams, but that doesn't mean that the game was decided by special teams. The game came down to defense which was what I predicted. 17 points off turnovers, and even when there weren't turnovers, the Rams did nothing on offense. If Bledsoe had started, Brown wouldn't have had a better game. If Bledsoe had started, he would have tried to force some balls in where Brady didn't and would have been intercepted. He would have held the ball too long at times and taken sacks when Brady didn't. If Bledsoe had started, the Pats would have lost. | ||||
