I just want to know one thing. What is with those two fags in Carolina that wear those ridiculous tuxedos to the games? One is wearing pink and the other is in light blue. They look like fucking morons! How the fuck does that relate to hockey or the team in anyway?

They are wearing the same outfits as Harry and Lloyd in Dumb and Dumber when they go to the convention with the owls.

Thanks Banger. The guy I work with hasn't seen these two morons yet, but as soon as I described what they were wearing, he said the same exact thing.

I still don't get the significance of it though relating to Hurricanes' hockey.

That was an entertaining game yesterday, even though there were no fights or scrums. McCarty put on a show and it was funny watching that fat guy pick up all those hats and the octupus. I hope they get in lots of fights next game, the Whalers play in a couple minutes.

Now that was what I call an awsome hockey game! There was lots of cheap hits, and almost a couple fights. I hope this series really heats up soon....The Canes tied it up on Sunday, let's hope they beat those damn Leaves tomorrow.

The Whalers lost, oh well, it'll be even sweeter to watch the Leaves lose in their own town.... The series out West is heating up big-time! The games still aren't as good as the 95-96 seasons-series' but we can't have it all, let's go Whalers...

Anybody still following the cup?
I watched the end of the Avs / Wings;
great hockey. Forsberg shows again why he's one of the best.
Best though was the shocked look on Detroit fans. Didn't know what hit them.

I've been following the Playoffs every day...Hockey is better than basketball! You touch a guy and you get a penalty, but in hockey you can smash them through glass and get in fights and get a 5 minute penalty not 5 games! Fuck the NBA...Oh Yeah.........

I smell sweep for the Finals. Of course, I smelled sweep in the Finals for the West as soon as the Devils got eliminated, but with a team from friggin' Carolina in, it's pretty obvious now. I can't believe I'm rooting for the Red Wings tonight. Ill. But, hell, I DO wanna see a Game 7, so as a result, I'm gonna root for a split in the next two games. I got a funny feeling Avs win tonight at home, though.

Yeah, the REAL finals are Avs vs Wings (hard to call Detroit a "West" team).

Wings have become the Yankees of hockey, a formerly storied franchise that went many years without winning, and now buys whoever they need
(as opposed to my Rangers who have become the Peter Angelos Orioles).

Carolina of course has no business having a hockey team. It is a joke that there will be no NBA team there, but a team left Conn to play hockey there.

Why do you think a team from Carolina is a joke?? The NHL is giving them a try, and it's working. They are selling out many games and going this deep in the playoffs is giving them good money. This sport needs more exposure so why not do it there?? I can't believe how the Wings are choking again, the last thing I need is for those asslick Av fans bragging about their hockey team...

How can you say the Wings are choking?

The Avs are every bit as good if not better than the Redwings.

These 2 teams are far and away the best teams in hockey and are as evenly matched as you can get.

Maybe I'm being over critical, but Carolina is supporting this winning team. I seem to remember Hartford supporting the Whalers even when they sucked, but that could be just connecticut people talking after the fact.

Tobacco Road knows basketball. The NBA is leaving for New Orleans. I kinda know that NHL is trying to market to warm weather cities-Carolina, Phoenix, Dallas, Atlanta (Florida doesn't count since everyone comes from somewhere else), but this has been at the expense of cold weather cities who actually know hockey. Wait until the Stanley cup visits Nascar.
Hurricanes have good management; lets see what happens to attendance next year.

Hurricanes took 1st game, and I'd love to see them knock off the Wings, but I still don't see them taking it in the end.

I'm proud of the North Carolinians for getting
excited about the Cup. They sold all the tickets
to the three games in Raliegh. I was living down
in Greensboro when they first came down, and there
was no one at the games. I used to get hooked up
w/ media passes and have like 10000 empty seats to
choose from. I think they are done in 6 though.
