I was surprised that they both walked out of there totally unharmed..I mean..shit..it was a block of C4. Normally that tends to do some damage ro people /buildings when its detonated.

Actually like 2 or 3 episodes ago that hotel security guy asked Michelle the same thing and she told him they were on some special frequency to allow them to call in or out.

I must also say that I think the production got lazy this year. at 5am or 6am in LA I highly doubt the streets would be totally empty. Hire some extras and rent some cars jesus.
I like watching the show and feeling like even though it's a show it still has a hint of real possibility. Shit like that makes me start falling over the edge into a parallel universe where it becomes total fiction.
I must have missed the cell phone thing but I'm glad they addressed it.
And I guess it wasn't bad that Michelle killed that guy. SHe did have to set the precedent to go along with her threats to shoot anyone trying to leave the building.
I really hope that a bigger enemy is revealed honestly because when Palmer said the sky is falling Saunders had a smirk on his face to suggest that he's just trying to flex a muscle. If I remember correctly Palmer did have a hand in the whole Kosovo thing as well.
I'd like to see somehow this tie into season 2. That would make my life complete. I thought of this when I saw the scar on Palmer's hand last episode.

I don't know. They seem to know every other little thing in CTU, except for who is a mole. I'm not saying they need to know, but to me it seems weird that they wouldn't know and needed the hooker/spy to get them there.
They hooker/spy was a plot device to get them in the offices. The british intel fellow was pulling Saunders file to send to Jack. Had they not physically gone to the MI-6 offices the building would have still be bombed with the server in it thus destroying the whole file before it could be transmitted to jack or ctu. Jack and Chase however escorting the hooker/spy to the offices get them in the office to ask the dying british guy where it was and subsequently go get the hard drive and remove it before it could be destroyed.
THey knew where the office was. They just needed a reason to go there.
