I don't even see the relevance in what you are saying.

The Pope is an old man, he suffers from ailments that most seniors his age do.

What does it have to do with Faith?...because he is a man of the Church that he should live any differently than let's say a man his age in a Nursing Hoem in Florida?

Come On,.
On the contrary, health and faith are very much intertwined...

if not, then why would Jimmy put
Quote:Say your prayers folks
in his opening post?

The entire purpose of organized religion is that if we frail, mortal humans place our faith in the unseen diety, He will return the favor by taking care of us-- physically, emotionally, and mentally. Read the Bible, brush up on what is known as the Covenant. Basically, it's another term for a contract, an agreement between two parties for exchange of goods and/or services.

In this case, our unwavering faith for His protection and love. Those who are most faithful, the people who can uphold their end of the Covenant the most, are the ones who should be most blessed; those who do not, should be cursed.

If the Pope is the person we Catholics feel most personifies the Covenant, as the most faithful among us, he should likewise be most blessed. These illnesses question either his level of faith, or the level of commitment that the unseen deity is using to uphold His end of the contract.
