Blurring the line separating church and state...

And a reply to the Idiot Crackle:

Quote:If you get rid of #1 and #2 and possibly #10, the rest are all laws in this country.
Are they?

So Commandments 3 through 9 are Federal laws?

3. Do not vainly use the name of your God [the God of the Hebrews].

FUCK GOD FUCK JESUS

Where's the warrant for my arrest?

4. Do no work on the seventh day of the week.

So the man who delivers the Sunday Times to my house is a criminal? Why isn't he in jail?

5. Honor your parents.

What if my father is Charles Manson? If he tells me to kill you, wouldn't I be in violation of this commandment if I refuse?

6. Do not kill.

Agreed. Holding my tongue here...

7. Do not commit adultery.

Immoral, I agree. A crime...no.

8. Do not steal.

See #6

9. Do not give false testimony against another.

Perjury is illegal. If "false testimony" is telling your friend that you were banging a hot chick, when you were actually jerking off to a porno, I think you know better.

Please do better next time.

Federal? Did I say that?

#3. Has to do with swearing. Yes it is illegal? In public, in some places it is. People have been arrested and convicted for it.

#4. Labor laws Come on Einstein, tell me there are no labor laws.. Also the Blue Laws. In NY, try to buy beer before 12 noon on a Sunday. You can't. It's illegal. Who says the Sabbath is Sunday? Some think it's Friday, some think it's Saturday

#5. I might give you that one, but then we would have to get rid of Social Security, Medicaid, Prescription drug program for all the old people (your parents)

#7. Legal grounds for divorce, and it is illegal in many states and you could be charged with it. A crime? Yes

#9. You said it yourself, PERJURY

Before you stick your foot in your mouth again, do some thinking, and research first.

You said this. Which means, Commandments 3-9 are LAWS in THIS COUNTRY.

Whatever the fuck you're trying to promote here is stupid and idiotic. Like I haven't been able to buy alcohol whenever the fuck I wanted in NYC...I was drinking in da village when you were in diapers (not that I condone that sort of thing...no, I don't).

Divorce is a CIVIL dispute. NOT CRIMINAL.

Adultery is certainly grounds for a divorce but NOWHERE in ANY viable law does it say anywhere that having sex with a woman (or man) that is not your husband or wife is illegal.

Divorce is based on property rights, not sexual boundaries.

Read the fucking thread, retard.

PERJURY is when you promise to tell the truth to a court of law, and you don't.

Lying to a ho so she'll fuck you is NOT perjury...it's just part of growing up. Try it.

If it's a law in Nevada, but not NJ. It's still a law IN this country. Just because you break a law, and are not caught, it is still a law. If you found a guy to sell you beer before noon on a Sunday, he broke the law.

You were drinking when I was in diapers? You must be a very old alcoholic. Maybe you should wait 20 or 25 years. I might be in diapers again by then.

1.

"Sexual intercourse by a married woman with a man other than her husband [is] regarded as an offense against public morals, not merely as a breach of the obligation of marriage" West's California Digest.
2.

"Adultery [is] a felony ... punishable by imprisonment in the state prison not exceeding 5 years", California Penal Code as amended March 21, 1911.
3.

"Act of 1872 from which adultery law was derived apparently has not been appealed" West's Penal Code.
4.

"Adultery [is a] counterfeit of marriage relation", People v. Bealey, 81 C.A. 648.
5.

"Cohabitation and adultery [are a] violation of Penal Code 269a" People v. Breeding, 19 C.A. 359.
6.

"Sexual intercourse, not cohabitation, is adultery", People v. Woodson, 29 C.A. 531.
7.

"Adultery is, as is well understood, sexual intercourse of one spouse with any one other than the spouse", People v. Salmon 148 C. 303
8.

"Sexual inclinations/reasonable opportunity [are] proof of adultery", Security First National Bank v. Schaub, 71 C.A.2d 467.
9.

Federal law also considers adultery to be a crime serious enough to deny immigrants admission to the US: "No person shall be regarded as a person of good moral character who ... has committed adultery", 8 USC 1101 (f)(2).
