Asked what it meant to watch the Jets struggle this season, Namath replied:

\"I want to kiss you. I couldn't care less about the team struggling. What we know is that we can improve. Chad Pennington, our quarterback, missed the first part of the season and we struggled. We're looking to next season.\"

Namath then concluded the interview with another amorous overture to Kolber: \"And I want to kiss you.\"

A clearly miffed Kolber replied by saying: \"Thanks, Joe. I'll take that as a huge compliment.\"
In a related story, New Orleans Saints receiver Joe Horn stated that he would call Kolber later to dish on good a kisser Namath is.

i didn't see the inteview but my seats are right next to the luxury box all the explayers and honored guests etc. get invited to. let me tell you with the amount of drinking that goes on in there they're lucky if they're still sober within the first 5 mins of the game.

That was no doubt the funniest fucking interview I've ever seen. On a side note I gotta say that I think I would have to be that drunk to want to kiss suzi koelber too
