It would be COOL to get a midget to rotate the cow on the rottiserie. I wonder if George Foreman makes one that BIG? The rottiserie would have to be automatic though, but the sight of the midget holding on as it spins would be priceless ;)

DAMN...Now I'm hungry

BTW - HI to the new slackers that have joined since my last salutaion

Aw fuck, does this thread have to get disgusting everyday? C'mon people, let's pretend we are at least semi-intelligent.

Who the hell am I kidding? Intelligent, hmmmmmmmm?

Hey, since I do the marketing/pr for a s-load of grill manufacturers, I can probably supply the grill!

What would you guys prefer...charcoal, gas, electric, infrared? Ducane makes a really nice grill, the Meridian that sells for like 5k, but it may have a rotisserie big enough ;)

p.s.-thanks Kid for making my sig reappear!:)

Hello again tools.

Spitfire, when I ban Grumpy, I'll post a celebration thread so we can all piss on his grave. But, he won't see it coming, no matter how much he begs and pleads!

Whiny little midget. Nag, nag, nag.

Buttmunch - Are you offering to toss me? I'm flattered. How much more whining do I have to do to qualify? What's my strike count up to lately? I;ve lost count. BTW - IM me when you get a chance.

Spit - Viking Commercial Grill (6 foot long), portable with a smoking compartment for chips. Total cost - $8K. Viking makes the best cooking equipment out there. Expensive, but worth it.

Sorry, Grump, but Viking does not make the best grills...I would leave that to Weber, Charbroil, and Ducane--TEC makes this awesome infrared grill that can cook a steak in 5 minutes.

Ducane makes an 18carat gold Meridian that retails for approximately $4.9 million (they sold one, I think)

Ingredients for a good BBQ:

Weber Grill (the old round charcoal kind, fuck these new-fangled gas joints)
A bag of charcoal
Some starter fluid
Some choice meat
Some beer
Some good friends.

Voila, instant good time.

Mash - Saturday night at arthurs is a mad house, you'll wait an hour for a table after 7:30.

Spit - Weber only has a name in the consumer market. Yes, they're good. But Viking is prominent in the food industy. Ducane - okay, that's high end consumer/industry. But not worth the money.

Oh and BTW - you dont need infrared to cook a steak in 5 minutes. Average 1 1/2 inch steak cooked medium is 2-3 minutes on each side, high heat. ;)

But I do have to agree with Kid, a down and dirty old fashion charcoal grill works best. Ya throw some Royal Oak Wood Charcoal (higher heat) and you're good to go.

Damn it, now I'm hungry.

I agree, Kid! I have the same grill, F the gas ones! I use Match Light though, they are the best charcoal!

I also have a Party Tub for the beers, holds like 3 cases at a time!

K1d you forgot to mention some decent weather, although it's probably a foregone conclusion there that in the Summer it is sunny, unlike this shit hole:(

OK, I agree with Weber Charcoal Grill as the only way to go (my folks have this phat one that is charcoal but has a porpane starter and a preparation area...it's really cool.

Straight gas and any lighterfluid (or matchlight) leaves a gas aftertaste which is yucky. I prefer charcoal started the old fashioned way with newspaper and kindling and some hickory chips mixed in for flavor and odor.... mmmmmm

OK, now the sandwich I'm gonna have for lunch is gonna suck!

No not at all K1d, I realise sometimes it sounds like that but it's not my intention. I love this country and I don't want to live anywhere else, well for any length of time.

As it turns out I've applied for a couple of jobs over there for the next winter season up in the mountains and I'm going to follow that up with some applications for summer jobs, but that's all I wanna do - a year max.
