10 albums that defined you as a person for a time.

In no particular order

Cake - Fashion Nugget
Tool - Aenema
Silverchair - Frostomp
Deftones - Around the Fur
Alkaline Trio - Alkaline Trio
Bush - Razoblade Suitcase
Greenday - Dookie
NIN - The Fragile
Pearl Jam - Ten
Smashing Pumpkins - Mellon Collie and the Infiniate Sadness

We could probably do 15 or even 25 albums but...ten is nice.

I did this on Facebook too awhile back. I did 15 there though so it will be tough getting it to 10. I did this in the order of when I discovered it according to my age. It starts from 5 years to up to last year.

 The Monkees - Greatest Hits
 Tom Petty - Greatest Hits
The Smashing Pumpkins - Siamese Dream
 Weezer - Weezer (Blue Album)
 The Beatles - Anthology 2
 The Doors - The Doors
 Nirvana - Unplugged in NY
Rancid - And Out Come The Wolves
The Rolling Stones - Exile On Main St.
George Harrison - All Things Must Pass

Well, I guess that we all learned a lesson today. That it's what's inside a person that counts. And that on the inside, midgets are thieving little bastards.

		1. Joni Mitchell - Ladies of the Canyon
2. Buffalo Springfield - Again
3. Judy Collins - Who Knows Where The Time Goes
4. Bob Dylan - Sad Eyed Lady of the Lowlands
5. Jackson Browne - Saturate Before Using
6. Joni Mitchell - Hissing of Summer Lawns
7. Joni Mitchell - Don Juan's Reckless Daughter
8. Earth Wind and Fire, That's the Way of The World
9. Frank Zappa - Broadway The Hard Way
10. The Roches - Keep On Doin'

And that's just the late 60s through the early 80s. That's hard, narrowing it down to just 10! I tried to stay chronological, but may have miffed that a bit.

Make top 10s in different genres. That should keep you busy for a while.

I think that's an urban legend. I heard she wrote the lyrics to the entire album on the plane flying to the studio where she was set to record. If that is true, then she becomes even cooler to me.

I envision some of the recording sessions going something like this:

Producer: Okay Alanis let's take it from the top again

Alans: Im here to remind you FUCK YOU ASSHOLE ! !

Then she gives every male in the vicintiy the finger, smokes a cigarette and slams a pint of Jack and throws the bottle against a wall.
