For the first two years of employment we are "interns" which means we are mostly training and helping the senior analysts. It sounds like a great idea, except this training is completely mundane and irrelevant to my work. I don't give a eff what the phases of system development are because that's not what I do. I don't contribute anything meaningful and that really pisses me off. Some would take it as a blessing that I can come to work and play on the computer all day but I want to do real, meaningful work. And what makes me even more mad is the fact that when (not if) I leave, they are all going to go crazy complaining that they don't have enough people, etc. Well I don't do anything anyway so shut the eff up.
