Which movie got you totally on hype.
Cloverfield.
I started out not really caring to see it, then realized if i was going to see it I might as well in theatures so that I could appreciate the 'bigness' and sound.
next thing I know i'm spending all day at work looking up the internet crap and reading IMDB message boards.

Yeah I thought that movie was going to be totally different.... I thought it was going to be more of a Castaway type movie where he was literlly the last human being on the planet...no monsters.
I ended up enjoying the movie, but I was disappointed at what it turned out to be. I also didn't care for the ending. I think they should have done that a little differently.

I found it to be long and drawn-out. Maybe I would have enjoyed it more if the previews hadn't gotten my expectations built up so high.

I liked No Country for Old Men, everyone else in the theater hated how it ended though. I was disappointed in I Am Legend because I read the book. I thought Superbad was OK, just not "The funniest movie ever" as most people refer to it. I didn't remember swearing that much at that age.
The latest Indiana Jones got me down, spaceships and Indiana should never be in the same movie.

Good call. The first time I watched it, it was after everyone told me how funny it was. I got about 3/4 of the way through and realized I was still waiting for the funny part to happen. Turned it off.
Watched it again, figuring I was just in a mood the first time. Still, nothing. And I love stupid comedy, too. I consider Ace Ventura 2 possibly the funniest movie ever made.
I think it was the fact that he was making regular people look like asses (for the most part). I thought it was way more cruel than funny.

I used to watch that movie over and over and over with friends. So many funny memories. Rhino was great, and I loved the shadows on the projector screen.

I thought it was incredibly funny, but then again, I was working with a bunch of other guys at the time building decks'n'such. We would quote it all day, and talk in Borat voice to each other and people at restaurants.....probably pretty immature, but we got a kick out of doing it.

it's an older one, but the first Alien Vs. Predator. the tag line was no matter who wins we loose. in the end we still won, and it wasn't all that great.

Watched Saw V this weekend. If gore and violence is your thing, you may be into it, otherwise it just seems like each Saw movie is worse than the last one.
