Well, the idea that this board would shut down was inferred to the board having a direct link to the show. We respect the board and the work Alkey has done. It's just there are other things that we don't respect...

The fact is that this board is a community. It's made up of a bunch of different people with different tastes, motives, likes and dislikes. To hold the comments of any one person against the entire board is just ridiculous.

You mention respecting the board and its purpose and Alkey. What is the purpose of the board? Isn't it meant to be an open forum of discussion?

I'm sorry Silera (and Alkey by proxy), but when you try to tell people what they can and can't say you seem very froy-esque. That is not a good thing.

And let's be honest, getting a mention "on air" from a show that does not currently exist is pretty laughable.

Remember one thing, froy thought this board couldn't survive without him. People thought the board wouldn't survive without the show. Both were wrong.

At the end of the day, maybe it's more of a blessing than a curse to not be endorsed by O&A (did Opie ever really endorse any board other than wackbag out of spite?).

Let's not fall into being hypocrites by silencing people that say things that are deemed inappropriate by O&A. Let the community decide what is and is not acceptable. As far as I can tell, it's been a while since there was a good flaming around here.
