Instead of posting in the Mets thread or the Yankees thread or the cluster f thread of clemens hitting Barry Bonds, I figured just make a mets vs yankees thread where everyone can talk trash and keep it in one thread instead of being spread out everywhere.

I think the whole Clemens thing is ridiculous. This should have been over at the All star game when Clemens pitched to Piazza. Clemens tried calling him after the series where he hit him and Piazza refused his calls. Booby Valentine and the UNNAMED are a bunch of pussies. if you have something to say put your name to the quote.

I just thought of something, I am a big Yankees fan, but for Mets fans, here is a scenario that gets Clemens out of it. Lets just say that in the first or second inning Clemens beans someone (I don't know let me guess Mike Piazza). Than he gets thrown out and he does not face the Mets. I don't think this will happen.

What will happen is if the Mets go looking to drill Clemens, heaven help the Mets for who ever is up next inning because they can expect a season ending injury. And if you go to fight Clemens he will kick the shit out of you as he is one tough psychotic son of a bitch.

I say Clemens wears a hockey helmet out to bat or a suit or armor. BTW, for the Mets fans, how do you think Shea will react to Robin Ventura being that he plays for the yankees albeit a trade but is playing well again. Could the Mets drill him?

It should be a very interesting series and it could get really ugly.

Now THAT would be funny.

I just have one thing to say about Mets fans to get this thread going... YOU ARE ALL FAT WHITE TRASH!!!!!! AHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

Not really... I just want to bust balls and deviate from the mindless banter that's going to come of this. No one is miss cleo.. no one has a crystal ball. we'll just have to see what happens this weekend... I, like a bazillion other people, will be glued to the tv for this series... not to see if Clemens gets a fastball in the nuts or between the eyes, but because I am a hometown kind of guy, I love New York, and I like to see my hometown teams square off.

Lent, I didn't see wink or sarcasm there buddy boy - you don't really think they'll give up a 55k attendance?
As for weather, both teams have off Monday, but Mets will have to play 23 games in a row, so players will have to approve it if they play monday. Having said that, there will be 3 hr rain delays before they call anything.

I'll be there on Sunday Night. If Saturday gets heated, Sunday (Wells vs Astascio) will be heated also.

As for Ventura, I know FB feels differently, but I'd cheer him. Let him go 4 for 4 with meaningless singles and I'd be happy.

Outside of the pissing match I've had with JS, I really hope it doesn't get as nasty as it might. I've heard such BS out of both sides its sickening. I don't think it will happen, but I hope it gets back to baseball. Games like Game 1 of the 2000 WS is what it is all about.

One Final Word - Let's Go Mets. :-p

I feel really bad for Shawn Estes. You could tell her really wants no part of this. I think Bobby Valentine is an asshole for inciting this. If Clemenes gets hit, Estes and Valentine should be ejected and valentine should be suspended.

This is ridiculous how 2 years after the incident this won't die. The Mets care less about winning than beaning Clemens. Shows where their priorities are.

Id rather see the Mets crush Clemens with 4 in the first and 4 in the 2nd to knock him out of the game before he gets to bat. Thereby, he wouldnt bat, Estes wont have to worry about it so he can just pitch his game, and the yankees bullpen will be overworked :). Sounds good all around to me. WHo needs to bean Clemens, lets just kick his ass with our offense.

GO METS!! :) Time to take at least 2 outta 3 from these guys. And if Clemens does get hit, i'll smile and enjoy it, but id enjoy a win a hell of a lot more.

Well the Mets fans should root for a Yankees sweep this weekend. By Monday, Valentine will be fired and finally the Muts could bring in a coach who won't coach them out of the playoffs!!!

LET'S GO YANKEES!!!!

P.S. If Clemens doesn't get hit on Sat., Astacio goes after Jeter in the First inning Sunday.
Then all hell will break loose!

If anyone is interested.
Here is what Joe Morgan wrote for ESPN
Visit this Website

Basically he said that the Mets have to retaliate.

Teen,
you can't kill Valentine saying he is keeping this going if you are going to defend Torre's actions, including last year keeping Clemens out of the game. Both are just trying to protect their team as best as they can.

As I posted in another thread,
"I said yesterday Roger Clemens gets away with things that get other people thrown out of games," New York manager Joe Torre said. "This is a perfect example of that."Torre quote on Clemens after hitting Brosius

I like Torre, and I like Valentine. Both do whatever they have to to protect their teams.

Now let them "fight it out" on the field - not literally but by making these great games.

And May The Best Team (mets) WIN ;)

If you were the mets, wouldnt you be more worried about WINNING?

my god if this clemens incident never happened would the mets fans still be calling for John Rocker's head?

the Mets are turning into the NL Red Sox: they only care about the mets meanwhile they are failing miserably.

Absolutely not. (see Torre's comments, or Yankees comments about Benitez).

Met's fans can berate their own team when they do poorly; we don't need to address Yankees. It is Yankee fans who mention Mets in every single message that tick us off.

If Clemens wanted to pitch, he could have. He wanted no part of it. And by delaying it last year and letting it all end then,it has come around full circle again this year.

That doesn't make anyone a pussy. They're speaking as representatives of their team, and especially in such an issue where it is so much less about individuals than it is about the two teams, this is a sign of solidarity and unison. No need for individual posturing.

If Clemens beans ANYONE, there will be some major repercussions. Don't think the umpires don't know the deal: the Mets have the upper hand here. If Clemens is a real man, he'll take his lump and move on.
quote:

What will happen is if the Mets go looking to drill Clemens, heaven help the Mets for who ever is up next inning because they can expect a season ending injury.
If this happens, then Roger Clemens is a pussy and a coward. Period. He's old school enough to know what's going to happen, but I don't think he's so totally devoid of class that he'd attempt to injure someone after he gets his payack.
quote:

And if you go to fight Clemens he will kick the shit out of you as he is one tough psychotic son of a bitch.
Then you say...
quote:

I say Clemens wears a hockey helmet out to bat or a suit or armor.
If he were so "tough" and "psychotic," he should come out and DARE Esttes to hit him. And he'll get hit.
quote:

BTW, for the Mets fans, how do you think Shea will react to Robin Ventura being that he plays for the yankees albeit a trade but is playing well again. Could the Mets drill him?
As a Mets fan, I respect Ventura as a player and a person. I'm sure he'll get his share of boos, but there's no way they'll intentionally drill him. The Mets have nothing against Ventura, the issue is with Clemens.
quote:

The way I see it, it won't get ugly at all. The first time Roger comes to bat, he'll get hit, take his base, and that will be the end of it. At this point, it should be a given. If it DOES get ugly, it will be one of two reasons: The Yankees try to one-up the Mets by going after someone before Clemens gets nailed, or they re-retaliate after Clemens gets nailed. Either way, it's up to the Yankees whether or not this gets ugly. Hopefully they'll be men, and not babies who can't take what they dished out.

Wait, what? Are you kidding me?? How many chances have the Muts had to retaliate?? Estes will give Clemens a mosquito sized bump on his back and all the fans can now go root for the Jets happily in training camp because your season will be over after this weekend.

Here's something new for the Muts: Hit the ball!
Here's another: Win A Game!!
I can't wait for the Yankees to win the series and all the Muts fans say "Well at least Magilla Gorilla (Benetiz) hit Clemens!" Losers. you're pathetic.

NO NO NO.. You dumb shits still don't get it!
Hitting Tino or jeter makes things even-
steven, hitting clemens is not "payback" things
aren't "even" because thats not how baseball
is played. Go check how many times bob
gibson got plunked in his career- he was a
notorious headhunter, but rarely got hit. why?

YOU DON'T THROW AT PITCHERS

how many fucking times does this have to be
said. NO FUCKING WAY are things "even" if
clemens gets hit. You think the yankees are
going to stand by and let the mets dispense
what their fans consider justice? fuck no. I
want clemens killed in a hail on gunfire. Is
jeter going to get out a uzi and take him out?
no. Who gives a shit what the fans want, its all
about doing things by the book.

ok smart guy, so if he was so smart to not want any part of the Mets last year, then why is he pitching this time around?

Yeah and the Mets are the ones who are classless, they arent the guy who was getting rocked lifetime by Piazza, so he decides to throw a 95 MPH fast ball at the guys head.

And then in the World Series, throws a cracked bat at him and says "I thought it was the ball" That is the most idiotic excuse ive ever heard, if it was the ball, why the FUCK ARE YOU THROWING IT AT HIM!!!

I have a feeling that yankee fans would have a little bit different opinion if lets say Derek Jeter was hitting about .500 lifetime against Al Leiter with 4 Homeruns, and then Leiter decides to drill Jeter in the head with a fastball, and then in the World Series throws a cracked bat at him.

Would the Yankees want revenge? Of course not, because they are filled with class right?
