Is there a way to add the option of users choosing the thread size? Like instead of 20 posts per page, we could choose to cut it down to 10? That would be awesome, if it were possible.

That's a really good suggestion. Possibly have a pop up window show who is in chat when the link is clicked?

I looked when i made the deadliest show host thread and couldn't find that option, the only option was to make more than one selection.

i thought it all worked, check the recent topics one too... It's not all that much of a big deal, but it may give a hard time when trying to find a specific page.

how about a jimbo/janebo account with an open password that anyone can access, and even use a proxy site to hide IP... i think proxy sites can do that at least.
This way we have a true anonymous thing we can do if someone has something they wish to get off thier chest that is..

I think Mike is thinking of it as a Jimbo/Janebo like the show uses it. There would be room for funny threads where people could really discuss openly. But I agree that it would get abused.

this is what i mean, if someone wants to say something revealing without anyone knowing it is them. Nothing to do about other people trash talking one another. lol if i have problems with people i call them out on it.

Just listening to the show you can see there are a ton of people who want to say things but don't want to be known at all.

I think it's a decent idea in theory but it would end up being abused which would create more work for the moderators. I wish I could say that people are mature enough to not overstep the boundaries set up with a Janebo/Jimbo account, but that just isn't the case.

well if you want maybe we could just have it set to one sub forum. On top of that I will volunteer myself to moderate just that forum and any abuses can be deleted. I don't need control over any other parts of the forum. I probably wouldn't post in that section because anything i have to say about myself i am not shy about so i would be completely neutral and by restricting the account to just one sub forum would make it easy to keep an eye over and delete anything inappropriate, you could have a way to make the password unchangeable and the avatar unchangeable too. lock everything except for the ability to post in the anonymous section.
I know I seem a little persistent with it but i think there may be some interesting things that can come from it, or it could just be a complete failure anyway. either way the restriction would also make it easy to eradicate all traces of it in the case of a complete failure.

Although I think a Jimbo account could lead to some interesting things, I'm in the same boat that there would be too big of a risk of it getting abused. If there were an easy way to have a way of having some sort of accountability with it, such as a specified Moderator/Admin could know who was doing what with it, that might help... but then again, that defeats the purpose of it being a Jimbo account.

As for the "eff" thing, I like it that way. I think it seems funnier that way, and ever so slightly more intelligent. Not really sure why, but when I see that word being typed out, I often find myself thinking something along the lines of, "Is that the best you can come up with?"
