| Psychopath Registered: May. 01  | My gut reaction is to say Don is full of shit as usual but a lockout kinda makes sense. Don was out of his mind on Friday, there was no humor in his rant about O&A. He slandered them and even made physical threats. In any company that would garner a suspension. Whether or not O&A have also been taken off the air or needed personal time is moot. The best thing they could have done was sit back and cool off before getting sucked in to F-in Don's last ditch effort to save a show that is unlistenable.

| O&A Board Regular Registered: Jan. 01 | The physical threats along with Ken Stevens' name being dragged into it was probably the final straw for Infinity management. Like Chucky Knuckles just said, Don absolutely lost it and they couldn't take the chance of him going further than he already did. Kudos to Infinity management on that one, but I still say it's bullshit if they are keeping O&A off the air too. They didn't do or say anything compared to what D&M did, but are being punished equally. So, kudos to Infinity on the D&M decision, but fuck you if you are silencing O&A as well. They didn't start this, the old fat fucks did! :mad:

It would have added gasoline to the fire. Still a clue as to if they were suspended or not is the possibility of Friday's show. Most companies that suspend people for a week usually do it for a week not four out of five days of the week. Why didn't NEW do it if this is true? O&A softball game. Granted tickets are sold, but this is a big event, and I'm sure the station would at least like them to talk about this once on the air the week before it goes down. | ||||

That is complete bullshit. I haven't heard them even mention D&M for quite sometime. This thing is really dumb. | Hanger-On Registered: Mar. 02 | I remember how this whole war actually started: Toward the end of their original tape delayed run in New York, Don and Mike were pissed off at management for treating them like S. and deleting large portions of their show. Don had enough and told WNEW that they quit and not to air their show later at night. They went to commercials, and Don came back pissed because he heard through the satellite feed that O & A were bad mouthing their show. He repeated some of what O & A were saying and then called them the flavor of the month and that they will never get the syndication deal because Ken and Jeremy dislike them. This is where some, not all O & A fans misconstrued facts by saying that it was Don who started this whole thing and that he is pissed off because him and Mike lost their time slot. They are wrong, it was O & A who started this war a long time ago. Though this false statement of Don being the instigator of all this mess continues to be considered true by some O & A listeners. | ||||

| O&A Board Regular Registered: Jan. 01 | A little perspective, As was said on foundry, sometimes in the past an "unexpected" day off for O&A was for personal reasons, not the speculation that always crops up. In the past this has happened from Ant's divorce case, the boys being sick, or simply too tired from a party the day before. Wait until they return. While discretion is what the corporates prefer, O&A have usually found a way to indicate something they are upset about (like the gag order). When they were off and some members of the staff were going to be fired, it was mentioned afterwards. I may be naive, but I don't think O&A would be making this up - it's not their style, and even though they can use the DC ratings, they have always believed in the "purge" system, which takes a while.
