Started out shitty, but the second half was fucking great. Tanaka/Awesome was a really good match which surprised me, seriously, as good or better than their FMW stuff (which is saying a lot), Paul Heyman and RVD(!) both cut nice promos, and the main event (Dreamer/Sandman vs The Dudleys w/lots of interference) was really fun.
I wish they would've given more time to the first few matches like Storm/Jericho and Benoit/Guerrero but...whatever. Definitely order the replay or download if you didn't see this.

Quote:WASHINGTON - The Republican chairman walked off with the gavel, leaving Democrats shouting into turned-off microphones at a raucous hearing Friday on the Patriot Act.
The House
Judiciary Committee hearing, with the two sides accusing each other of being irresponsible and undemocratic, came as
President Bush was urging Congress to renew those sections of the post-Sept. 11 counterterrorism law set to expire in September.
Rep. James Sensenbrenner, R-Wis., chairman of the panel, abruptly gaveled the meeting to an end and walked out, followed by other Republicans. Sensenbrenner declared that much of the testimony, which veered into debate over the detainees at Guantanamo Bay, was irrelevant.
Rep. Jerrold Nadler (news, bio, voting record), D-N.Y., protested, raising his voice as his microphone went off, came back on, and went off again.
"We are not besmirching the honor of the United States, we are trying to uphold it," he said.
Democrats asked for the hearing, the 11th the committee has held on the act since April, saying past hearings had been too slanted toward witnesses who supported the law. The four witnesses were from groups, including Amnesty International USA and the American Immigration Lawyers Association, that have questioned the constitutionality of some aspects of the act, which allows law enforcement greater authority to investigate suspected terrorists.
Nadler said Sensenbrenner, one of the authors of the Patriot Act, was "rather rude, cutting everybody off in mid-sentence with an attitude of total hostility."
Tempers flared when Rep. Mike Pence (news, bio, voting record), R-Ind., accused Amnesty International of endangering the lives of Americans in uniform by referring to the prison at Guantanamo Bay as a "gulag." Sensenbrenner didn't allow the Amnesty representative, Chip Pitts, to respond until Nadler raised a "point of decency."
Sensenbrenner's spokesman, Jeff Lungren, said the hearing had lasted two hours and "the chairman was very accommodating, giving members extra time."
James Zogby, president of the Arab American Institute, speaking immediately after Sensenbrenner left, voiced dismay over the proceedings. "I'm troubled about what kind of lesson this gives" to the rest of the world, he told the Democrats remaining in the room.
House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi, in a statement, said the hearing was an example of Republican abuse of power and she would ask House Speaker Dennis Hastert to order an apology from Sensenbrenner.
Sensenbrenner is the guy behind HR 1528 - his idea of the new and improved war on drugs with life imprisonment and RealID.

Welcome to Yahoo! Sports Fantasy Football.
This is to confirm that you've created the Custom League named CDIH Football and the team called Wife Beaters in that league.
To allow other managers to join your league, send them the League ID# and Password. In your case, the ID# is 23684 and the Password is pleaseme.
You have chosen for your league to take part in a live online draft on Mon Sep 5 5:00pm PDT. Until that time, you (and only you) can change the type of draft by using the Change Draft Type option found among your Commissioner Tools, which can be reached from your League Overview page.
If you choose to remain in a live draft, please arrive at the draft 10 minutes ahead of the scheduled time. The draft will start promptly and may conclude rapidly if only a few managers are logged in.
We also suggest that all league members pre-rank their players in case a manager can't make it to the draft. Managers can do this at any time by simply going to the Fantasy Football home page and clicking on their team name.
Thanks for joining. Good luck.
--Fantasy Football Commissioner

| Best Movie Villian |

I was discussing gangs of new york with a couple people and how basically the saving grace of the film was Lewis performance as Bill The Butcher. I believe that Daniel Day-Lewis gave one of the greatest performances in movie history and created one of the best villians ever. So the discussion evolved into other great villians, I came up with my top 20. I excluded any animals like the shark in jaws or machines like Hal from 2001, though they rank up there. Also I excluded any horror/slasher film characters cause they'd take up too much of the list cause you have to mention them since they are true villians. You can include anyone you want though. I wanted to keep it more at a dramatic performance of a villian. I made one exception though and that was with Darth Vader, though there really is no acting on his part especially with the mask and suit, the mere presence and storyline make him so amazing.
In no order:
Darth Vader/Anakin Skywalker - Star Wars
William "Bill The Butcher" Cutting - Gangs Of NY
Antonio Salieri - Amadeus
Hannibal Lecter - Silence Of The Lambs
Alonzo Harris - Training Day
Michael Corleone - Godfather Part 2
Travis Bickle - Taxi Driver
Mr. Blonde - Resevoir Dogs
Cody Jarret - White Heat
Gary Oldman(forgot his characters name) - The Professional
Joker (Nicholson) - Batman
James Caan - The Theif
John Doe - Se7en
Alan Rickman - Die Hard
Riddick - Pitch Black
Emperor Commodus - Gladiator
Laurence Olivier - Marathon Man
Amon Goeth - Schindlers List
Tony Montana - Scarface
Richard Gere - Internal Affairs

Scientists: Insect Would Kill Coca Crops.
By DAN MOLINSKI, Associated Press Writer
BOGOTA,Colombia - A group of Colombian scientists believe they've found a way to wipe out cocaine production: unleash an army of hungry moth caterpillars. But critics of the proposal say the chance for "ecological mischief" is high.
The plan envisions breeding thousands of beige-colored Eloria Noyesi moths in laboratories, packing them into boxes and releasing them into steamy coca-growing regions of Colombia, the world's main supplier of the drug. The moths, about twice the size of a fly, are native only to the Andean region of South America.
Carlos Alberto Gomez, president of the privately funded National Network of Botanical Gardens, made the proposal last week. He said the moths would naturally make a beeline for the coca plants and lay their eggs on the leaves. About a week later, caterpillars would emerge and destroy the plants by devouring the leaves

Apparently, Discovery Channel is having some special on the 100 Greatest Americans as decided by viewers or something. Sorry for the sloppy C+P, but I don't really give a fuck. It's just nice to know that Tom Cruise and Dr. Phil are greater Americans than, say, Eli Whitney...
