Bad news : my new SUV isn't coming with the upgraded JBL system that I thought it was going to come with. It's a stock Toyota AM/FM/cassette/CD radio, 6 speakers.
Good News : the price of the truck was adjusted $300 less for the error.
so...I'm gonna be in the market for a new head unit and probably speakers/sub/amps for my truck. it's been a while since I've dealth with car audio, but as I recall Pioneers and Alpines were considered to be excellent, and high-end Sony's to be right under them. What's a good radio, or good brand of radio, I should be looking for? I don't plan on getting satellite so that's not a consideration, but I guess CDR/CDRW compatibility as well as being able to play MP3's would be a nice feature.
I like my music loud with solid bass. Any thoughts?

Only wear a white shirt when it's going to be 70+ degrees and I'm going to be walking around the city and taking the subway on appointments.
I had an appointment downtown, so I hoped on the subway, walked to the appointment, hopped back on the subway, walked to the office. Not a whole lot of walking around -- maybe 15-20 minutes tops.
I'm wearing a light blue shirt, I get back to the office, and I have pit stains from my shoulder to my hip, and my back is all sweaty too.
It's hideous. But I have to take my suit jacket off, and I just pray that no one notices me. I feel like Steve Ballmer in that Microsoft video of him freaking out on stage and he's all sweaty.
Is this what fat people go through every day?

While I was downtown on an appointment, I walked by this place. It's right near City Hall Plaza.
Now, not surprisingly, it was empty. Why would anyone go to this place?

I have a friend who has fallen on some horrible luck the past few years. He was in a bad car accident that left him disabled and a few months later he father passed away. Really sweet family, nice people, who have fallen on hard times. His medical bills are mounting and his insurance has run out.
I'm trying to find out if there are any foundations out there that can help someone like him who are having a hard time with medical bills. Any ideas or advice is appreciated.
