D Day - Choose your weapon, allies.
Posted by: Splatterpunk - 01-08-2003, 11:44 AM - Forum: The Pit - Replies (42)

The topic of the Doors force influx is no longer a skirmish open for debate of tactical purpose validity. I declare January 8, 2003, Doors Day in Hell. We and our cdih allies are uniting for takeover. This is a date which will live in infamy.

Strange Days is now set on perpetual loop.

Why when the board is slow its boring and dying.

When we get members whom some people like and contribute, it is garbage?

I don't like everyone who posts here so I ignore those I don't like, why must everything be a constant battle.

Some sarcastic bashing is very fun but I'm kinda lost on the border where this might be a serious issue now.

Are these new members really such a bothersome load?

GARY CARTER (& Eddie Murray) Elected to HOF - Baseball in January - nice!
Posted by: PeterDragon - 01-07-2003, 10:03 PM - Forum: SportsCenter - Replies (9)

Well, on this cold day in january, baseball announced the results of its hall of fame elections.
Gary Carter & Eddie Murray were (appropriately) elected to baseball's HOF.
Gary Carter Bio
Eddie Murray bio

As an "old timer" here, I can say without a doubt that "the kid" deserved election. An 11 time all-star, Carter could do everything you wanted a catcher to do: Hit, hit for power, drive in runs, and most importantly block pitches in dirt, call a good game, and throw out runners.
Of course, I'll remember him best as one of 2 key acquisitions that led to Mets 1986 championship.
he was a guy who always had a smile (as opposed to Murray who always had a scowl), and helped raise millions of dollars for the Leukemia Society of America - which has nothing to do with his worthiness for the HOF, but which has everything to do with why he was a guy you could root for (even when he was with the Expos).

Congratulations Kid.

Anyone watch this show. Season 2 starts tonight and wanted to know if it is worth watching. I hear such good things about and how it is even better than 24 which is my favorite show.
