Wireless networks - Wish i had something witty to put here
Posted by: Paper Boy - 10-21-2002, 01:26 AM - Forum: Über Geek Zone - Replies (17)

On my laptop, i have a wireless ethernet card which i use to connect to my wirelessrouter. my connection to the my router was somehow broken, when i put my mouse over the two little tv's on the bottom of the screen, it said view available network connections. i clicked on it and there were two my default network and another one which i believe is my neighbors. My questions are, is it legal to use their connection to do my internet browsing? i wouldn't want to break the law but my default connection goes down on a regular basis and so far, my connection to theirs is pretty good.

Werewolf movies... - Angelina jolie and the scream team...
Posted by: Tenbatsuzen - 10-20-2002, 09:10 PM - Forum: Entertainment Unlimited - No Replies

There are two werewolf movies coming up... one with Angelina Jolie, based on a book that recently came out, and one being made by the "Scream" duo of Kevin Williamson and Wes Craven.

I don't have high hopes for the Jolie flick, but I'm thinking the Williamson/Craven flick will be pretty good.

The secret is, don't use CGI to make a werewolf, or at the very least, use it minimally... American Werewolf in Paris SUCKED because it was all CGI and those were NOT werewolves.

Best werewolf flick to come out in the past few years was "Ginger Snaps."

Place your bets now... - Shelle bink got married
Posted by: Tenbatsuzen - 10-20-2002, 07:32 PM - Forum: The Pit - Replies (94)

A girl who has no concept of love and/or committment gets married. In fact, she was posting on her live journal no more than 2 weeks ago how she was dating two guys at the same time.

Either it's a gigantic lie, or this is probably the fuckin' funniest thing I've read all day.

So Eminem is going to be in this new flick coming out called 8 Mile. Does anyone think he will be any good? I guess i'm kind of curious to see how it is. Kim Basinger and that crazy chick from Don't Say A Word is in it. How funny would it be to hear "Eminem" when they read off the Oscar nominations?

Best horror movie character - Halloween and all
Posted by: LyricalGomez - 10-19-2002, 11:04 PM - Forum: Entertainment Unlimited - Replies (22)

Here I sit, watching Hellraiser and remembering a debate I had with some friends last halloween about who was the coolest or best or whatever horror movie character...

Personally I've always felt that noone can ever be as cool as Pinhead. Much like Hannibal Lechter in Silence of the Lambs, you can't wait for him to show up in the movie...And who can argue with the church scene in the second movie?

Some of the other choices people made were Candyman(cool idea but the backstory sucked ass) Leprechaun(don't ask me why) Chucky, Jason, Michael Myers, just to name a few...So, who do you think is the coolest?

I want to compare a few cameras. Does anyone know where I can look to get user reviews and shit like that?

I'm ordering online, so I cant play with them, but I want to find out as much as possible about them first.

They don't have to be cool or meaningful quotes, just whatever are your favorite quotes, instead of ruining the inside jokes thread with this.

"Cause a karate man bruise on the inside, he don't show his weaknesses. But you wouldn't know that cause you a big barry white lookin motherfucker."

"That was a stone groove my man, you are the most righteous...

Yeah, yeah just get the fuck out."
