Poor, poor Metropolitans... can't even live up to the "dem lovable Bums" status that the Brooklyn Dodgers left behind. They are a pathetic excuse for a franchise, and their fans are just bitter and spiteful.

Just a reminder to everyone, the ALCS (Yanks-Red Sox) is being broadcast on FOX (Ch. 5 here in NYC) tonight at 8:00...
and for some inexplicable reason, the NLCS (Marlins-Cubs) is <i>also</i> being played tonight, on the FX Channel (check your local listings, as they say).
Whatever happened to the good old days, when they would <i>alternate</i> the broadcast days for each league series? :confused:
As I watch this game I've realized that while I'm not pulling for the sox I'm totally rooting against the Yankess.
