What are you passionate about?

Just thinking about people who are really passionate about stuff. Like music, their profession, a sport, hobby, etc. Some people have huge collections of stuff that they treat like holy relics. Some people spend every possible second practicing a sport or an instrument or something.
Is there anything that you are really passionate about? Something that is so fundamental a piece of your life, that without it your life would be far less?

Missing people - And not feeling bad when you don't

Ok, it seems to be expected that you should by all rights miss people when you haven't seen them in a while or haven't spoken. And, it is expected from you to miss someone when they actually tell you they miss you.
But, what if you don't? How do you side step that topic when it comes up? I can say that I don't miss most people nor give a shit if they miss me in the least. Most of the time I don't speak or see someone, it is by my design in the first place but it can be mighty uncomfortable when this comes up in person.
And, no, this does not concern the few peole I chatted with last night at all. I ask this because yesterday I saw a group of friends I used to frequent the local bars with and when they were talking about the "good old days" they said they missed me. I felt like they said they loved me and avoided saying the dreaded "I miss you too".

<div align="center">ROMEO VOID Never Say Never (1981)
If time itself was his demeanor
There'd be no sunlight or a glimmer
Of sunlight landing on the street,
Sunsuit girls must be discreet.
Sunsuit girls must be discreet,
Nursing their fathers locked inside
They masquereded as his bride
I might like you better if we slept together
I might like you better if we slept together
I might like you better if we slept together
But ther's something in your eyes that says "maybe"
That's never!
Never say never!
Slumped by the courthouse with wind burnt skin
That man could give a fuck about the grin
On your face as you walk by
Randy as a goat
He's sleepin' on papers but
He'd be warm in your coat
I might like you better if we slept together
I might like you better if we slept together
I might like you better if we slept together
But there's something in your eyes that says "maybe"
That's never!
Never say never!
There's no easy way to lose your sight
On the street, on the stairs
Who's on your flight?
Old couple walks by
Ugly as sin
He's got her,
She's got him
I might like you better if we slept together
I might like you better if we slept together
I might like you better if we slept together
But there's something in your eyes that says "maybe", That's never!
NVR SAY NVR
Sun seems to move,
Across the sky so slow
It's us who's turning
With nowhere to go
Sun seems to move,
Across the sky so slow
It's us who's turning
With nowhere to go
I might like you better if we slept together
I might like you better if we slept together
I might like you better if we slept together
But there's something in your eyes that says "maybe", That's never!
Never say never! </div>

Board personas - Yet again

There have been a couple threads recently that dealt with peoples board personas. Questions were raised as to why people always post within their comfy confines. Why people refuse to break character.
While I might have a few running TOGs I don't think that my posts are in "character". I think I post as me.
Which is why I find it interesting that many of the people who preach about "just be yourself" were the loudest critics when I do just that. Instead of seeing my posts reflecting a mood or phase I was in, they resorted to the Brian Regan, "this is different I don't like it" reaction.
So are the personas a crutch for the poster, or something to make the reader, more comfortable.

This here is the OFFICIAL BARREL! Whoever is in the barrel will be tormented until someone changes who is in the barrel. Anyone but the person in the barrel can change the victim. The victim will be humiliated and tormented by anyone on this board. I take it everyone is smart enough to know the limits and how far to take it.
The dopey asses that dont come down here and look in this sess pool may never know what hit them if they never check. If you feel like you want to extend the torment outside this thread for the person in the barrel you have my best wishes and please do so.
To show I'm a good sport I elect myself to be in the barrel first. I will remain in the barrel until someone chooses someone else to be in the barrel.
BRING IT ON!!!!!

I could kill my fiance. Without an "I love you" or anything like that, she heads out the door this morning and says "I better not come home to a dirty house."
So...I start cleaning the house, but realize that my definition of clean is probably different than hers. I sort piles of our stuff into nicer, neater piles. I clean the kitchen (so that it's spotless, which is a far cry from her definition of cleanliness in there). And then I pick up all the clothes that are laundered and folded, put them into the baskets, and put them in the bedroom where they can be put away later.
Am I fucking this up? Do I have a right to be as pissed off as I am about the whole thing? Or am I just clueless in the field of cleanliness?

Allright fuckfaces, I got a new job and I am back. I figured this new home was full of pussies that needed a good banging and I wanted to personally suck each mule here, but I guess I can leave that task to the other pole smoking hairy ass lovers around here. Frumpy told me that this place kinda smelled like the old home, but I dont smell enough chum and feces. So What up??
