What have you bought lately, that maybe you should have left in the store?

Last night I went to Bath & Body Works, and bought a special $35 pair of socks. The are regular on the outside & coated with gell on the inside, to make my feet all soft and poofy. Put lotion on the feet, and wear the socks for 30 mins, and eventually...... Summer feet!

Name that film. - New game?
Posted by: Arthur Dent - 03-12-2002, 12:10 PM - Forum: Entertainment Unlimited - Replies (13)

I was recently told a story about the history of a pub in london and I could swear I saw the story played out as part of a film, but can't remember which one.

First, the story i heard (supposed to be true):

The pub (who's name noone could remember) used to be an inn where travelers would spend the night when traveling by wagon between cities. People traveling alone would be shown to a room on the first floor to spend the night. After they had fallen asleep, the inn's owner would go into the basement and pull a pin out from under the bed. The bed would flip over on a pivot and dump the traveler into a pit full of water where they would be left to drown.

The inn's owner would then keep all the traveler's money and possessions. In addition, the traveler would be chopped up and included in the stew that was served nightly to the inn's patrons.

I could swear this story was included in part of a movie. I think it might have been one about a monk investigating murders and had "rose" somewhere in the name, but I'm not sure.

Anybody ever see this before?

Now, for the game. Describe an obscure scene from a movie and people will guess what movie it's from.

America undercover: antanomy of a murder - This is must see tv at it's finest

I think they are replaying last nights AU on HBO on Wed. You have to see this shit. They actually have on tape via the prison cameras a real life OZ scene. The guy the show is centered on, Troy, shanks this guy 67 fuckin times. Pretty fuckin gruesome. In what part, you actually see him stab the guy in the head and when he tries to remove the knife, his head comes up with it and slides off.

They also show the picture of the guy Troy shot six times in the head and left the poor bastard in the desert which got his ass sent to prison in the first place. You got see this shit, a great one hour show.
