I think we've all seen the past commercials. A bunch of annoying 8 to 10 year olds singing a few incredibly suggestive songs that they certainly should not be singing. Although the songs are somewhat editted, I think we all know how wrong it is to have little girls and boys singing songs like Britney's "Toxic" or No Doubt's "Underneath It All" (from previous releases.) Now seeing as how I'm not as in touch with today's music as most people here may be, I ask you which of these songs on the newest release may be the most offensive lyrically?
I'm kinda disappointed they're covering "Let's Get It Started" (radio version) and not "Let's Get Retarded" (album version). They could have used real retards!

I hate fucking cell phones, but my new job has pretty much made it a necessary evil. I need to be able to let clients, my manager, and other folks on my sales team get in touch with me if anything important comes up. A cell phone should do the job and would be pretty much nice to have for other personal shit.
Anyway, what do you recommend. There is a Verizon wireless store down the way that I'm going to go to this afternoon. I want something that's not going to be to ridiculous price-wise and maybe has a few of the bells and whistles a lot of the phones have today, like text messaging and maybe the potential to add on Internet access down the road if I find that would be useful. I want the fucking thing to be reliable connection wise. No bullshit or is that inherent in all cell phones? Also, I'd be interested in hearing about what other companies might offer other than Verizon. Does anyone use them? Are they good, bad, ok, etc? Who might be better? And so on...

You're leaving someone a message and it was always a simple thing in the past with the audio tape answering machines, you had one shot and you're done. Now everyone has cell phones and voicemail and the telephone company allowed an evil feature that allows you to listen to the message you just left.
Atleast back in the day you left someone a message and you never heard it again, they played it and if you stuttered or sneezed or stumbled over words, hey thats what happens.
Now you find yourself using the feature, not all the time, once in a while though you press that number key and listen though. Then you hear yourself and even though you hear your voice all day long and have heard it all your life, you rarely hear it in that fashion... then you realize.. "holy shit I sound like a moron"
Then you figure, ok let me re-record that message again. You know where you fucked up cause you just listened to the message so you figure, "ok i'll do it once more and get it right". Next thing you know you've fucked up again and again and again, then you try to switch up the message content, before you know it you've recorded the message 36 times now. Now it becomes like the gag reel at the end of films, you're just doing take after take until it's an hour later and the person you called an hour ago is calling to say "hey, what the fuck, you called and didn't leave a message!!!"
The same goes for when you record the outgoing message thats on the voicemail.

Ok, so are the referees confiscating everybody's Bud Light and replacing it with Miller, so that they can drink the Bud Light themselves?

A Wal-Mart worker showed a photo of himself wearing only a sack.
By CLARK KAUFFMAN
REGISTER STAFF WRITER
January 7, 2005
A 65-year-old Wal-Mart greeter has been fired for greeting customers with a computer-generated photograph of himself wearing nothing but a Wal-Mart sack.
Dean Wooten was fired in September from his job as a greeter at the Muscatine Wal-Mart store where he had worked for seven years, state records show. He was accused of greeting customers with a picture of himself in which he appeared to be naked except for the carefully placed sack.
Wooten allegedly told customers that Wal-Mart was cutting back on expenses and that the sack represented the new employee uniform.
After some customers complained, a supervisor told Wooten not to display the picture. Five days later, after more customers complained, Wooten admitted he had brought the picture back to work and had been showing it again to customers. He was fired that day.
Wooten applied for unemployment benefits but was denied by Administrative Law Judge Susan Brightman, who ruled that "a reasonable person would know the act of showing a naked body wearing a Wal-Mart sack would not be good for the employer's business."
Wooten said he thought customers would find the photo amusing. It wasn't intended to be critical of Wal-Mart, he said.
"I didn't have nothing against Wal-Mart," he said. "A friend of mine got the photo of the body off the Internet, and he had a picture of me and he put my head on it. When I first seen it, I pretty near died laughing."
