So my wife scored 2 free tickets last night to the Nets/Suns game and holy shit what a fucking game. The crowd from the 2nd half through the 2nd OT was on fire. The duel between Kidd and Nash in the 4th quarter and the 1st ot was incredible. It was like they were playing a game of can you top this and the amazing thing was, they did. The 2 picks they threw for Nash to get him open at the end of regulartion were pretty good and the 3 he drained was never in doubt. There were a couple of questionable foul calls in the first ot and 1 huge no-call in the 2nd ot that seemed to deflate the whole team. But it was a great close game throughout, no more than a 6-8 point lead, and a fantastic experience to actually be there.

Really gets on my nerves. I am a huge baseball history fan and this scumbag will probably break the most coveted record in sports, let alone baseball, and it annoys me.

The whole spectacle he tried to make about going to another team when everyone knew he was going right back to Giants. Annoying

Not much news affects me these days. Mostly its just cyclical negative crap that is either commercialized, partisan, both or just plain drivel. Whether it's Aniston/Vaughn breaking up, or Iraq still sucking...I just pay it no mind.

But this story really bothered me.

I found myself constantly going back to Cnet.com for updates on it. I had known him through his product reviews since I do use cnet quite often. He was also on TechTV (now defunct).

When I read he died, it actually made me feel bad. So rare these days. I'm not sure if it's the fact I'm getting married, or simply b/c its such a conundrum of a situation to make a decision like he did. But something about it truly niggles at me still b/c would would you do if you were him? Would you have left to find help or stayed (keep in mind he was already stuck there 9 days).

Too many camera angles, plus the fact that they're zooming in. Too much stupidity, too many hard bumps to keep getting up from, etc. But, well .. I think you know where I'm headed with this.

You may want to turn the volume down, unless you're into that sort of thing...
