So, I recently realized that my Apex DVD player wouldn't play recorded DVDs. It was pretty old, so that's no surprise. Anyway, I started looking for a new DVD player, and I cam across the DVD 726 from Philips. It said it played CD-Rs, MP3s, DVD-R/+R, etc., and it was only $60 so I figured... FUCK IT!!!!
I couldn't be happier with my purchase. I plays nearly everything, except DivX or AVI files. It even plays slideshows of JPEG files.
BONUS!!! - There's a multi-region hack for it, and it WORKS!
<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.dvdrhelp.com/dvdhacks.php?select=Philips+DVD+726">http://www.dvdrhelp.com/dvdhacks.php?se ... ps+DVD+726</a><!-- m -->
Get yours today. They won't last long.
EDIT - I nearly forgot to mention that it plays MPEG-1 files. No need to convert to VCD format. It just plays them.

My girlfriend is pressuring me to have kids.
There's good an bad points.
Good = A male would carry on my family name.
Bad = the stupid incessant questions.
For example,
The other day I'm giving my nephew a bath.
He says "Uncle Hoon, how come our penis's are different"?
I tell him the truth..."Becasue mine is erect, Mikey".
Should I mention my nephew is 26?

So the wife surprised me last night when I got home from work - she ran out to the bakery and picked up a pumpkin pie, which happens to my most favorite kind of pie. She even bought a new can of Redi-Whip to go along with it. I also stopped by the 7-11 on my way home and picked up a cup of Blueberry Creme and have discovered it's the perfect complement to pumpkin pie.
It was so good, I'm still feeling the joy this morning. :banana:
