Windows Media Player eats a ton of my CPU. I have a P4, tons of RAM and it just started to slow up my system considerably. I'm talking using 80 - 100 percent of CPU when IDLE!!!!! I'm wondering if the processor is defective.. this laptop is new.

I want to try another application to see if it does the same thing to try to narrow down whether it's a software or hardware problem.... what should I use as an alternative program? Any good ones out there?

I refuse to install Real Player because it is the most Nazzi obnoxius program ever.... it literally takes over my computer with pop up messages and quick launch and becoming the default player for fucking everything. I hate Real player.

***EDit... ok I Tried real player. it does the same fucking thing so I uninstalled it. Son of a bitch.

K1dAfrika - I like k1d cause he is one of the best posters I ever seen and always creates interest and feedback cause he knows how to, I'd be glad to call him a pal... atleast off the board. What I hate about him is his stubborness at times, even if he isn't like it off the board.

Remember when you were a kid and teen, you would always hear.. "When you get older, you will understand." Well most of us, and I use the word "most" loosely here, have grown up. What have you realized?

I figured most of us are in too big a rush to grow up and regret not having our teen years back. Being an adult sucks ass at times, bills are no fun. Life is full of hurt and pain and back stabbing, but when the good comes it outweighs any bad.

Well the players union has voted to strike August 30th. The sticking point is the luxury tax. Neither side wants to give in. Looks like there will be a stike in two weeks. I think this one will go into next season. Baseball is dead.

Traffic was pretty light on the way in today. Our parking lot looks like a ghost town... It seems like a lot of people take their vacations this time of year. In other countries, they have like a national holiday for a few weeks during the summer. Our headquarters in Japan is closed this week for holiday. Why in the Hell do we have to work year round? Where's our week to close down operations and have some time off?

Also, the board seems kind of dead today and either nobody is around on AIM, or everyone has me blocked today.
