  Pizza, pizza - It's not a pie
Posted by: OAS - 03-23-2002, 03:24 AM - Forum: The Pit - Replies (83)

OK, I'm in the mood for a pizza, but I can't find a good one.

Now to me a good one is not what you find here. You know, sliced in 8 slices and stuck in a cardboard box. An awesome pizza is the kind that is cut criis-cross, in little squares, full of all kinds of sausage chunks, mushrooms, cheese, peppers, onions and placed in a wax coated paper sleeve, that gets all greasy. The type of pizza that when you pick up one of those squares, the grease drips down your fingers and arm. Now that's a pizza!

And in case nobody ever told you, a pie has apples, lemon, cherries, chocolate creme, pecans and that kind of shit in it. Not pepperoni, mozzerella, onions and shit.

Where does one find a great pizza? What kind is youir favorite?

Have you ever tried pinneapple or peanut butter on a pizza?

Marilyn Manson Gets His 'Genius' On With The Golden Age Of Grotesque
March 22, 2002, 9:00 am PT

Marilyn Manson
Marilyn Manson never fails to raise eyebrows with his every move, and the newly announced title of his next album, and description of it, proves that once again.

Titled The Golden Age of Groteque, Manson's fifth studio album, and follow up to 2000's Holy Wood (In the Shadow of the Valley of Death), is currently in production and due for a fall release on Interscope.

Of the album, Manson says it's his "most genius deluge of hardcore guitar-driven violence and reckless electronic-punk vaudeville mixed with '30s cabaret decadence and Arch-dandy dads. I am equally the artist as much as I am the work of art."

Working on the album with Manson are producers Tim Skold (former member of KMFDM and his own Skold, and whose production credits include Lords of Acid and Kidneythieves) and Ben Grosse (Filter, B-52's, and others).

  Recycled love letters???!?!
Posted by: PollyannaFlower46 - 03-22-2002, 09:06 PM - Forum: The Pit - Replies (21)

So I'm sitting at someone else's desk today and it's the guy from work who used to send me obsessive love letters etc after we went out once. So me being the nosy bitch I am, I decided to read his email....HE'S SENDING THE SAME LETTERS to the student intern and just changing the name! How funny is that? Has anyone here ever done anything like that?

Greatest all-time rock riffs - They'll be stuck in your head all day
Posted by: Doc - 03-22-2002, 06:27 PM - Forum: Noise Pollution - Replies (33)

I saw this article on the top ten greatest riffs of all time and like all lists like this, it could probably stand to have a little editing done.

Here's what they said were the best of all time:

1 - Iron Man
Black Sabbath

2 - Smoke on the Water
Deep Purple

3 - Purple Haze
Jimi Hendrix

4 - Whole Lotta Love
Led Zeppelin

5 - (I Can't Get No) Satisfaction
The Rolling Stones

6 - Sunshine of Your Love
Cream

7 - Walk This Way
Aerosmith

8 - Smells Like Teen Spirit
Nirvana

9 - Back in Black
AC/DC

10 - Crazy Train
Ozzy Osbourne

I think "For Whom the Bell Tolls" should be somewhere in there, and I definitly think "All Night Long" is a better riff than "Back in Black"
