For one thing, I was unaware that the Yankees had signed El Duque to a one year contract last month. That's one reason I'm kinda tired of all this A-Rod talk, because I miss out on all these other stories. Also, for some reason, ESPN believes that Hernandez might actually be 38 years old, instead of 35.
I remember when he first joined the Yankees some people were talking that he might actually be 16 years old.
Secondly, the Marlins are fucking sick right now, specifically one Dontrelle Willis. He's 2-0, 0.00 ERA, allowed 9 hits, and on top of that, he's batting 1.000, going 6 for 6 so far! The Marlins havent allowed a run in over 30 innings, and they are 8-1. This kinda puts a damper on the fact that the Mets have the same record as their 1st place cross town rivals.
It's nice to see Cincinatti in first place, and even more nice to see that Ken Griffey hasnt injured himself for the season yet. I was reading an article about how scouts use a players last three seasons when they come up with an assesment of a player, and that they cant do that with Griffey because he's been fucked up for so long. How often do Mariners fans wonder what might have happened if Griffey, Johnson, Rodiguez had stayed on the team?
The Red Sox and Yankees are the two teams that everyone looks at, but they most certainly arent the best two teams in the majors, thus, they arent living up to the hype, at least not yet. Every game that I watch that has Pedro pitching, he never pitches good, or good enough, so I really dont understand how threatening this guy is. Last night he got fucking rocked for 7 runs, 2 of them being home runs. And now, Im never worried when he faces the Yankees, in fact, I usually write it off as a Yankee win. It's the rest of the staff that gives the Yanks trouble.

A few months ago a friend of mine bought a lounge in Queens and I started working there. Now that everything is all settled, we've decided to have some regular events. I've spoken to Alkey and we've planned a get together for Tuesday April 27th at around 9pm. They'll be a live DJ and random free shots. So come out! The address is 34-27 28th Avenue in Astoria rapture lounge

Purported Bin Laden 'Truce' Is Rejected
By MOHAMED KHALIFA, Associated Press Writer
CAIRO, Egypt - A man identifying himself as Osama bin Laden (news - web sites) offered a "truce" to European countries that do not attack Muslims, saying it would begin when their soldiers leave Islamic nations, according to a recording broadcast Thursday on Arab satellite networks.
Britain, Germany, Italy and Spain quickly spurned what appeared to be an attempt to drive a wedge between Europe and America.
The tape, which ran in full at more than seven minutes, also vowed revenge against America for the Israeli assassination of Hamas founder Sheik Ahmed Yassin and denounced the United States as using the Iraq (news - web sites) war for corporate profiteering.
"I announce a truce with the European countries that do not attack Muslim countries," the taped message said as the stations showed an old, still picture of al-Qaida leader.
The message said "the door to a truce is open for three months," but the time frame could be extended. "The truce will begin when the last soldier leaves our countries," the speaker said without elaborating.
A CIA (news - web sites) spokesman said the agency was reviewing the tape to determine its authenticity.
the rest of the article is here.

is the wildhaired dude who stands on the median strip on Park Avenue who screams religious mania at the Helmsley Building as his body convulses and he waves a bible with his left hand.
He's just brilliant.

my chink bosses at subway keep the tips from the tip jar. i called the department of labor and they are sending me a complaint form to fill out...but thats just too time consuming.
so tomorrow when i go in to quit, i am thinking about threatening them in some way to give me my tip money from the past 7 months. now quickly, here is my math...
7 months ..about 30 weeks. 13 hours a week. 390 hours. lets say $0.50/per hour in tips, counting in that sometimes i worked with other people and it would be split up. so thats about $200 and i think thats low balling it.
ok...now i was thinking about saying something like this ...
"give me $200 or i'll sue your chink asses"
hows that sound? any input or ideas on what i should say are appreciated

Saw it tonight. It was amazing. I don't want to describe too much or it might ruin the experience for those who have not yet been. Trust me, its not like anything you've seen before. Definitely recommended.
