  Children - Yes or No
Posted by: Hoon - 08-07-2003, 02:16 AM - Forum: The Pit - Replies (53)

I have been thinking of having children of my own alot lately.
But it's things like what happened the other day that make me second guess myself.
For instance, children ask too many annoying questions..

Just the other night I was giving my nephew a bath.
And he asks me, "Uncle Hoon? Why are our penis's different"?

I answered him honestly saying...
"Because mine is erect".

Should I mention that my nephew is 26?

i'm going to the dentist tommorow
Posted by: Paper Boy - 08-06-2003, 11:40 PM - Forum: The Pit - Replies (19)

i broke part of my tooth off early last year and the pain has really been getting to me the last 6 months. i almost passed out from the pain sunday night so i decided to go to the dentist on monday. he said i have a horrible infection in my tooth and he will need to extract it and perform a root canal. he will then stick a post where my horribly infected tooth was and at a later date he will put a fake tooth in it's place.

my question for you's is, has anyone ever had these procedures done? and will it hurt?

Quote:Yankees trade Benitez to Mariners for Nelson

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ESPN.com news services

SEATTLE -- The tenure of Armando Benitez with the Yankees was short-lived.

The Yankees shipped the hard-throwing reliever to the Mariners on Wednesday for another reliever, Jeff Nelson.

This is the latest attempt by the Yankees to upgrade their bullpen. They had acquired Benitez from the Mets just three weeks ago.

This will be Nelson's second tour of duty with the Yankees. He pitched for them from 1996-2000, helping the Yankees win four World Series titles in five years. However, his relationship with manager Joe Torre deteriorated during that span.

Benitez had good numbers in his brief stint with the Yankees (1-1, 1.93 ERA in nine innings), but Torre seemed to have him on a short leash, removing him from games at the first sign of trouble. Benitez had 21 saves with the Mets this season, but has had numerous high-profile meltdowns in his career.

Posted by: Banana_juice - 08-06-2003, 05:51 PM - Forum: The Pit - Replies (26)

Can someone please give me some insight on what happened to a lot of the posters on here that used to post . I was on the old board a lot way back when. And then i was posting on this board, but my work schedule got really crazy, and I havent posted in about a year. And now I am going to be only able to check this board out for a little bit, before I get transferred to Florida, and my schedule gets crazy again. So, can anyone give me any insight as to why a lot of the old posters arent posting anymore,, people such as sean cold, maynard, skitchr4u, fez, etc... Thanks

So I was bowling last night..
Posted by: Jack - 08-06-2003, 04:17 PM - Forum: SportsCenter - Replies (17)

For probably about 6 weeks now, on Tuesday nights I have been going bowling with about 8-10 friends. Its only a buck for shoes and a buck a game..

Anyways.. Every week, in at least one of the games I get the opportunity to get that elusive turkey. 3 Strikes in a row. And every time I get 2 in a row, what would be the third strike comes up with only 9 pins and the 10th wobbles more than a building in downtown San Francisco during a magnitude 8 earthquake, but does not fall down.

So, I am on my 4th game, 2nd frame is a strike, 3rd frame is a strike, everybody starts laughing because they know what is coming. I go up to bowl and everyone is being quiet, as good friends should be, and I hit again 9 pins and the tenth wobbles ungodly amounts.. It finally rights itself to be standing perfectly still and everyone busts out laughing and I begin swearing and throwing things. All of a sudden, it just falls over and I get the strike. Weirdest thing any of us had ever seen.

I ended up bowling a 174 that game. 2nd highest game ever.
