| O&A Board Regular Registered: Apr. 01  | they are predicting that of the 400 firemen who initially responded, at least 200 of them died. i cant stop thinking about all of the children who arent being picked up from school, and all of the pets who are sitting in dark apartments waiting for someone who isnt coming. it is all way too sad. I just think that, in light of today's events, there's no reason NOT to tell us. And, shit, why would the US gov, who's so friggin' anal, go into a country they only SUSPECT of being guilty and bomb the shi outta 'em? Not trying to start a debate here... I dunno. I know so many people in the armed forces- I'm so worried about them. I can't even fathom what it must be like to mobelize and ready for war. Driving through Camerillo today, you could see smoke over Pt. Migu Navel Base, Weapons Division. They were testing their eqipment in case war was declared. | ||||

I go to school and work in downtown Manhattan and I just can't believe that what I am seeing on t.v. is where I am everyday.... R.I.P. all the victims, and all our heros in the NYPD, NYFD, and EMS who gave their lives to save a life. why do I say I'm fine when it's obvious I'm not? why's it so hard to tell you what I want? why can't you just read my mind? | Psychopath Registered: Sep. 01 | I haven't posted much here, and I haven't even had a chance to read all the posts, and maybe nobody will read this post, but I have to write something...I started my day dropping off my daughter at pre-school for her first time by herself, and I thought I was stressed. As I left, I called my husband to tell him and he told me about the planes crashing into the World Trade Center...from then on all I did was listen to the radio as I drove around totally freaked out. I couldn't wait to pick up my daughter. At the pre-school everyone was talking about what was going on, and every single one of us knew someone who worked at the WTC. I couldn't get in touch with anybody. I hauled ass back home, got my son, packed up my kids, and headed to my mom's house. I am originally from Germany, and all of my relatives called to see if we were ok. One of my cousins works at a big German department store in Berlin and she said people were just standing in front of the TV sets and crying. Most of the world is as horrified and shocked as we all are, most of us are not psychopaths like these fucking cowards that did this. Normal people do not take pleasure in hurting others, but these are not normal people. I live in Glen Rock, NJ and almost all of the people that live here, work in NYC. There are kids here in a temporary shelter at the church because their parents have not come home. I still don't know if all of my friends are alive. I know that many of you are probably experiencing the same thing. All of you, and everybody out there is in my thoughts and prayers. Life will not be the same for a long time to come, if ever. It makes you realize that life is very precious, and that all the little BS that we think is so important doesn't matter at all. What matters are the people we love. I hope if nothing else this brings us all closer together. I know that personally I will do whatever I can to help anyone who needs it. God bless all of you, and all of the people affected by this horrific nightmare. | ||||
