The comments in this thread are a perfect representation of what every American was feeling that day. Whenever I drive by the Pentagon and see the burnt, gaping hole (or where it used to be now), I can only imagine what it's like for the people of New York. I'm sure if I was near a computer, I would have been just as guilty of relaying bogus information in the heat of the event. It's just amazing that when there is so much need for information, and none available, that people will just make it up (not saying that anyone here did that). The news will put on anything new just to be news. That's how so many of the Howard Stern calls get on the air. News people are so intent about being first that they don't really give a shit about being right. As much as I try and remember, I can't possibly grasp the mindset that I was in during that time. I got all tingly and got goosebumps. Jesus christ, I hope that Bin Laden is either dead, or they get him soon. That fucking scumbag. I just read the thread and have a new respect for everything that new york and washington DC citizens went through during this time of uncertainty. I still fight back tears. Some lunatic flying his plane around, who was stupid enough to not notice the Twin Towers. Between that post and say, page three, there was this giant loss of innocence, for everyone.
