| O&A Board Veteran Registered: Jul. 00 | Plane Crashes Into World Trade Center Updated: Tue, Sep 11 9:01 AM EDT NEW YORK (AP) - Smoke poured out of a gaping hole in the upper floors of the World Trade Center on Tuesday and there were broadcast reports a plane had struck it. There was no immediate word on injuries or fatalities in the disaster, which happened shortly before 9 a.m. "The plane was coming in low and ... it looked like it hit at a slight angle," said Sean Murtagh, a CNN vice president, the network reported. All phone lines out of Manhattan are down as far as I can tell. Tried to call home, couldn't get through on regular phone or cell.
