Luna, you have great taste in 70's and 80's music, but try as I may, I still can't get into Dylan's 'Love and Theft'.

This is pissing me off.

Thank you for that compliment, Slash.

I don't know, I guess I can't get past the 'style' of the music to appreciate the 'witty sarcasm' that I have 'read' so much about regarding this LP.

Since my favoUrite type of music has witty, sarcastic melancholic lyrics, I am at a loss.

After tracks like Tryin' To Get To Heaven and Not Dark Yet from TOOM, and Things have Changed from The Wonder Boys ST, I guess I was expecting more along those lines.

Any tracks/lyrics you recommend as a good starting point? As it stands, the disc is as worthless as an AOL 7.0 disc that I get in the mail every day.

Listening to Dylan - Oh Mercy

Listening to Dylan - Oh Mercy
ok...I see.

If you want to give it a second try, try these songs on the Love & Theft Album (I think this may be the witty sarcasm you are looking for from Dylan):
# 9. Honest with Me
# 2. Mississippi
#12. Sugar Baby

Tracks that are not the typical Dylan we are used to:
#3. Summer Days
#4. Bye And Bye

I enjoy the whole album music & lyrics. I think it is absolutely wonderful.

Yes, I know you do. I have given it several tries, but I will give it a few more shots with emphasis on those songs in particular. Thanks.
