Magus' Melancholia 2002, the Great Depression - By special request!!
Posted by: Lord Magus - 01-24-2002, 07:19 PM - Forum: Noise Pollution - Replies (44)

Ok.. since somebody asked me to throw it up..

Those of you who know the drill know what to do, those of you that don't..
This is a thread to post lyrics to songs that you find depressing or "blue", as Slash once said, "Music to slit your wrists to". I'm gonna alter the format slightly though, before posting the lyrics make sure you have the Artist, Album, and title.. there were a lot of songs I liked the lyrics to but had no clue where to get them, so now I want to make sure you screwup's fill out my shopping list properly.

We'll start with the banner of my moodiness, 'cause I can't think of anything new at the moment

Twisted Sister
Stay Hungry
The Price:

HOW LONG I HAVE WANTED
THIS DREAM TO COME TRUE
AND AS IT APPROACHES
I CAN'T BELIEVE I'M THROUGH

I'VE TRIED,
OH, HOW I'VE TRIED
FOR A LIFE, YES A LIFE
I THOUGHT I KNEW

OH IT'S THE PRICE WE GOTTA PAY
AND ALL THE GAMES WE GOTTA PLAY
MAKES ME WONDER IF IT'S WORTH IT TO CARRY ON

'CAUSE IT'S A GAME WE GOTTA LOSE,
THOUGH IT'S A LIFE WE GOTTA CHOOSE
AND THE PRICE IS OUR OWN LIFE UNTIL IT'S DONE

TIME SEEMS TO HAVE FROZEN,
BUT THE MIND CAN BE FOOLED
AS THE DAYS PASS I DISCOVER
DESTINY JUST CAN'T BE RULED

HARD TIMES,
OH HARD TIMES,
FOR THE PRIZE, YES THE PRIZE,
I THOUGHT I KNEW

OH IT'S THE PRICE WE GOTTA PAY
AND ALL THE GAMES WE GOTTA PLAY
MAKES ME WONDER IF IT'S WORTH IT TO CARRY ON

'CAUSE IT'S A GAME WE GOTTA LOSE,
THOUGH IT'S A LIFE WE GOTTA CHOOSE
AND THE PRICE IS OUR OWN LIFE UNTIL IT'S DONE

OH IT'S THE PRICE WE GOTTA PAY
AND ALL THE GAMES WE GOTTA PLAY
MAKES ME WONDER IF IT'S WORTH IT TO CARRY ON

'CAUSE IT'S A GAME WE GOTTA LOSE,
THOUGH IT'S A LIFE WE GOTTA CHOOSE
AND THE PRICE IS OUR OWN LIFE UNTIL IT'S DONE

OH IT'S THE PRICE WE GOTTA PAY

  You're my Obsession.....
Posted by: Maynard - 01-24-2002, 05:36 PM - Forum: The Pit - Replies (141)

Have you ever been obsessed with someone? Ever stalked someone? Ever been in a relationship that you knew was bad, but you were just so totally infatuated with that other person, that you couldnt pull yourself away from them? Have you ever prefessed your love to someone only to be rejected , but you can't handle that, and continue to obsess about them?
Tell us your story.

Have I been obsessed with people? For sure. It happens quite often. I actually hate almost everyone I meet, but there's many people that will get and keep my attention for a short time for one reason or another. I think that it's natural when someone has something that you like, that you become somewhat obsessed with it, or them. I actually have a women I'm obsessed with right now. Someone I work with. I can't get her out of my mind, even though I know that I will never be with her. She is just a good friend.

I have never stalked anyone. If someone doesn't want me, I can take a hint, and I have no desire to make their life hell because I was rejeted. I have dated girls that were BEING stalked by ex-boyfriends. That was just too freakin weird.

I was in two major relationships that were bad, but I couldn't pull myself away. I had a girlfriend that treated me like shit, but everything else about here was just right. That ended up breaking my freakin heart. And my soon-to-be-ex-wife was the other one. I tried to make amends for a year, even though I knew it was never going to work out. She was truly the only one that I ever let totally inside and let her see ME. Both of them were unhealthy obsessions, but we learn from our mistakes, right?

When I'm rejected by someone, I leave it alone. I may continue to talk to them, or flirt with them, but I don't stalk them, or keep pushing my self on them.

William Regal's Theme - Have I heard this before?
Posted by: Francine Banger - 01-24-2002, 04:57 PM - Forum: The Faggy Artistic Forum - Replies (5)

This is a question for the old school wrestling fan. The WWF has a tendency to recycle themes over the years. Like Val Venis' theme is just a saxophone version of The Model Rick Martel's theme. Kurt Angle's theme is the Patriot's Theme.

William Regal's new theme sounds very familiar, and I believe that somebody from the late 80's,early 90's had that theme. Does anybody out there know?

Kick the Baby! - Come in and play

You can call the game whatever you want... just come in and play with me.

You can do it. Be creative. There are plenty of uses for a hot poker... stick it up someone's nose, swirl their brain around & see if you can get it to come out their ear.

Ok, open for business... :crossbones:

Confessions - Lie, Cheat, Steal...what's your vice?
Posted by: Spitfire - 01-24-2002, 03:32 PM - Forum: The Pit - Replies (55)

Anyone here have any morals? Nah, didn't think so... So what bad stuff have you done in your life? Anything you feel guilty about?

hehehe...Time to confess your sins :fuggin:
one time...I killed a man....

I guess my vice used to be stealing, but I don't feel guilty about it, I've just grown out of it. Almost got caught once at the Ocean County Mall, but luckily one of my friends was standing behind a mall rent-a-cop when the mesage came over looking for kids that fit our description perfectly...we were able to escape just in time.

When I worked at Camelot Music, all of the employees pretty much stole thousands of $$$ worth of stuff, we had our system down perfectly.

  That 80's Show - Eh?
Posted by: Maynard - 01-24-2002, 01:18 AM - Forum: Entertainment Unlimited - Replies (31)

OK, it's exactly as I figured it would be. I love 80's shit, and that part is pretty cool. But where the fuck is the plot of the episode? It's non-existant.
The characters have had NO development at all. I know it's only the first episode, but isn't that where you're supposed to learn about them?

So far, I'm not happy, but I'll watch for now because the music and references rock!
