NEW YORK - A bouncer at a Manhattan nightclub died Sunday after he was stabbed in a brawl that police said began when he tried to enforce the city's new ban on smoking in bars and restaurants.



Dana Blake, 32, died about 11 hours after the late-night fight in an East Village nightclub.


Police arrested two brothers, Johnathan and Ching Chan, shortly after the fight and charged them with assault. Prosecutors had not decided Sunday whether to upgrade the charges because of Blake's death.


Blake approached the men about 2:30 a.m. to tell them they could not smoke in the bar, police spokesman Michael O'Looney said. It was unclear whether one or both men were smoking, he said.


Harsh words were exchanged and the brawl began when Blake tried to eject Johnathan Chan for disorderly behavior, witnesses told police. Blake was stabbed in the fight, but it was unclear who stabbed him or with what, O'Looney said.


The smoking ban took effect late last month.


It could not immediately be determined if the brothers had lawyers.


Blake's older brother, Tony Blake, said Sunday he blamed the death on the smoking ban. "I'm very bitter," he said. "It's a senseless murder because of this stupid cigarette law. That's the reason this guy was killed."


Ed Skyler, spokesman for Mayor Michael Bloomberg, said the mayor was pleased suspects were quickly arrested and that "his thoughts are with the family of the victim."

what does it mean when you take a bong hit and then fall over?

I use kazaa to download music. Recently I have started downloading movies. I am a big movie person and my wife and I always like to go on opening weekend when something interesting or a big movie comes out. However now with the baby, me going to the movies is not going to happen as often if at all. Especially now with summer coming, I really need to see these movies.

Ok, I know this was semi-covered when I asked a question about downloading full albums and whackbag mentioned irc. I do not understand how to use that. I have had great success in downloading movies that have been out a while. I downloaded 25th hour, jackass, bringing down the house (has japanese subtitles), old school, head of state. I also downloaded Phone Booth 2 days before it came out. For example, a couple parts in Phone Booth, the video stopped but the audio continued. For the first 50 minutes no problems and than a period of 10 minutes had video problems. Also you see distortion for a second or 2. Otherwise it was great.

My main problem lies with new releases. I tried downloading A Man Apart and Anger Management. No luck. One of the things is it could be another movie, like for Anger Management I got About Schmidt. The other thing is I download it and the screen is blank and no audio plays. I tried downloading anger management 5 times this weekend and nothing. I think it mentions something about codecs. I try downloading from quicktime and the download fails.

What do I have to do to make sure the video I am downloading is the one I get. Also that the video is not extremely bad like a problem I had downloading shanghai knights. It was obvious it was from a camcorder in a movie theater as the audio was awful, I heard people talking and laughing in the background.

If IRC or something is better, than can you explain to me how to do it.

I have not tried this site yet but I heard it could help.
