they won't let me get the proper medication that makes my migraines go away. they are only allowing me 9 pills for 34 days. 9 PILLS FOR 34 DAYS! they are telling my that i can only be stabbed in the eye with a screwdriveer 9 times in 34 days. i wish! i wish it only happened 9 times.

Me and JennyBrownEyes(my girlfriend) went to see Carlin at SUNY Purchase tonight. This is my first time seeing him and I have to say I walked away a little unimpressed. I have listened to a lot of his stuff from the 70's and 80's and found he's gotten a lot more bitter and angry over the past ten years. No more plays on words, just a lot of ranting about what people should be killed and stuff...I left kinda unhappy. Anyone else got comments about a comedy legend who is slowly becoming and angry old fart??
Oh yeah, and one other thing that made me a little uncomfortable seeing kids 13, 14 years old sitting in the crowd with their parents.

I know there probably have been a few threads on this already.... but this shit is changing all the time.

I'm looking to buy myself a new portable mp3 player. I had the original Nomad Jukebox that came out a few years ago... the thing didn't last too long. The LCD got fucked up, it never lasted more than an hour or two on its batteries. I'm looking to get a new one....

Right now it's up in the air between

1. the IPOD... expensive as Hell. 20 gigs... but I have a pc, not a mac. Should this deter me from getting this? Supposedly the latest/greatest version of the ripping software doesn't exist for PC yet.. but i think it is coming out soon.

2. The Nomad Zen... I think it's 20 gigs. a little cheaper than the IPOD. I haven't heard much about this one... just saw it for the first time while browsing the web.

3. Nomad Jukebox III. I don't know if I'd even consider this considering my last jukebox didn't last too long... but it is really affordable.

4. Fuck CD mp3 players. I don't have the time to be constantly burning, and want to eliminate the hassle of carrying discs around... never mind the fact that they don't hold that much. Not even an option.

Any body have any personal reviews or thoughts? Advice/ pros/cons would be appreciated.

Ok, the Sony P3 500mhz just doesn't cut the mustard anymore. It's time for a new system. Dell's got a Dimension 8250 3ghz hyperthreading processor which I can get with a DVD 4x burner for about $1700. Or I can opt for a 2.4 ghz for about $1100, also with DVD burner...or I can go cheapie with a 4550 dimension with a 2.4 for about $828 with the DVD burner.

I use the PC for alot of graphic work, want to run some games, and just typical use.

Couple questions:

<li>Is there much difference between a 4550 and a 8250 Dimension that will really make a difference to me?


<li>What can I do with a DVD burner. In theory, could I put 4.7gb of MP3's on it and play thru my DVD player? When I burn a DVD, is it in a file structure?


<li> Anything else I'm missing or should be aware of as I make this purchase???
