Where the fuck is he?

There haven't been any reports of mass murders/rapings in Manhatten lately, so that's out of the question.

If he were getting ass, he'd have told somebody by now, so that ain't it.

Come out for the second time in your life and tell us what the fuck you've been doing with yourself!

  Taking requests!
Posted by: Arpikarhu - 08-02-2002, 03:34 AM - Forum: The Pit - Replies (80)

i figure this mod thing wont last too long cause i am guaranteed to piss off someone of importance before too long.
therefore i have decided to grant requests. want a new satus? want someone in the cell? anything, just ask. however, it cant be too frivolous, so to make it fair, you have to submit a very small essay explaining why your wish should be granted. it doesnt have to be anything for the good of the board or to help small animals, just slightly amusing.
go for it!

Well, she always wins. Have you ever won anything? A raffle? A sweepstakes? A door prize? What have you won (or placed)?

I know it's a bit, but I felt bad for R&F's intern Wild Thing... to be honest, I probably wouldn't have been able to get wood in a studio full of people either, no matter how hot the chick was.

Of course, he didn't even KISS her, which makes him worse than Dukes - at least Al kissed a chick.

And yeah, this is a WNEW thread. sue me.

Garnett to nets? - And other offseason nba talk
Posted by: HedCold - 08-01-2002, 09:05 PM - Forum: SportsCenter - Replies (15)

the trade rumors of kittles van horn and martin for garnett are back again. i don't see why the twolves would do this [other then they need a new look], but i can see why the nets would. it's rough that they would have to trade martin, but you can't expect to get kg for nothing. i think last time peeler was also included in the trade, but not sure. the nets would still need outside shooting, but when you can get a guy like garnett, you have to go for it. i know all that stuff about garnett dissappearing during the 4th, but if he had kidd giving him the ball, things wouldn't be so hard for him down the stretch.

what was boston doing getting vin baker?

i know cleveland really wanted darius miles, but they got ripped off. the only thing miles can do right now is dunk.

if the knicks get van exel, they would still suck. it's like they're trying to become the nuggets of the east, with mcdyess and van exel. and they signed micheal doleac. what do they expect him to do?

and finally, i think the hornets really overpaid for baron davis. i mean, he's good and all, but 14 million a yr? he's not that good

Debate: killing bad guys, really bad for you?
Posted by: Arthur Dent - 08-01-2002, 09:02 PM - Forum: The Pit - Replies (19)

Something that really bothers me in TV shows and movies is when the "hero" of the story either refuses to kill the bad guy or talks someone else out of killing the bad guy. Especially in situations where it is actually life threateningly dangerous to do so, because it's "wrong" to kill.

For example, hero disarms nasty bad guy who just killed a few dozen people, vowed to kill hero and hero's family, and is a genius at getting away again and again to kill more people. Hero doesn't kill the bad guy. Bad guy gets up and is about to kill hero when bad guy get struck by lightning, falls off cliff, gets eaten by wild animals, or some other miraculous death that saves the good guy from killing.

In my opinion this is all liberal hollywood bullshit and the "hero" is completely justified in killing the bad guy. Just Hollywood idealism (isn't that an oxymoron?) saying all killing is bad no matter how justified, lovie-dovie crap.

What do you think?
