This box I'm on is four years old:

P2-400
STB Velocity 128 (TNT2 chipset)
64 MB RAM
etc.
I'm looking to upgrade sometime soon as I'm moving it to college with me. Question is: Anyone know a good site that reviews motherboards and whatnot, other than Tom's Hardware? Perhaps you have some suggestions of your own? Anyone know what the deal is with Athlons (XP, MP, WTF?)
How about a good video card that will likely run games well for another two years?
And all this on a budget. Mainboard-CPU combo, video card and memory for $500-$600? Thanks in advance, folks.

To all my friends.
I just got finished with a 2 year process that brings to a close a phase of my life that I’d hoped I would never have to end. It’s also something that I don’t wish any of you would ever have to go through. At around 11:00 today my divorce was finalized.
I joined opieanthony.com approximately 2 years ago. Right around the time of my separation. Joining that board helped me get through some rough times, and took my mind off things while they were happening. It probably saved me from severe depression. I’ve made some of my best friends from there, and know that they will be lifelong. Sure, I had my ups and downs over there, as everyone has. And it came to a point where Froy and I were butting heads, and I just wasn’t having fun there. So Sean decided to create cdih. A home for all those who felt the same was as myself. Through this board, I have gained stronger relationships with others that I would have never suspected. Everyone on this board has touched a part of my life, and I am grateful for every minute of the time you’ve given me. The good and bad.
Walking into that courtroom today brought back intense feelings for my (ex)-wife. Some good, some bad, but still a little more overwhelming none the less. Sitting there, my mind began to wander while waiting for our case to be heard, and I began thinking about this place a bit. It helped calm me down. After leaving the courtroom, I had this sense of freedom. Freedom from not only my marriage, but the other stresses that went along with it, and there was a huge weight lifted from my shoulders.
I thank you all for the time you’ve given me.
Kate, Joe, Sean, Eddie, Rodney, Kelly, Laura, Kelly, Megan, and Morgan. I give a special thanks to all of you for giving to me the friendships that we have and for helping with the tougher times. There are many more of you that will probably never know the ways you touched my life in some part. And I thank ALL of you for that as well.

Moron is displeased with Maynard.
Maynard is non confrontational toward Moron,
so Arpi (Maynard's prison bitch) does all the fighting for him?
Can you ladies keep it to one thread please?

I was walking to the bathroom for the 3rd time this morning (note to self, less coffee tomorrow morning) and it hit me. I can't be the only one who has to deal with this crap. So I have a simple question:
Who are the really strange people at your job?
Every place I've worked has had its share of nutbars. There seem to be different levels of psycho, but there is this one lady here that really takes the taco.
There is this one woman, I think she might be a little on the slow side, who is obsessed with 'The Tonight Show with Jay Leno'. No, it's Ikea's mom, it is this little 5 foot tall wierdo who never stops talking about The Tonight Show.
You go to the cafeteria to pick up your daily caffine, and oh no...there she is. You try not to make eye contact, but she spots you. She waddles on over and says the exact same thing every time: "Do you like watching Leno?".
No matter what your reply is, she then goes on for the next few minutes about how the show is on so late and she sometimes falls asleep watching it but it's a great show.
You try to get out of the conversation and walk away, but she follows. She will follow you all the way down the hallway, I've actually seen guys duck into the bathroom in order to shake her.
It's funny as hell to see the new college interns get their first experience of Tonight Show Woman. They're all new and innocent, they don't know anyone, and this someone odd looking woman walks up to them out of nowhere and starts babbaling about the monologue last night. The new guy looks around like an impala surrounded by 5 lions who just got off Jenny Craig.
So, what crackheads are at your places of business

I just got it this morning and I'm trying to copy a live show where most of the tracks segue into the next. However, no matter what I do or change, it inserts a second long gap between the tracks. On my last program which came along with my ancient Sony Spressa drive, all I had to do was do "disc-at-once" and I didn't have a problem. What am I overlooking?

So much for getting out of this nut-house and getting a real office...my boss went to sign the lease this morning, 2 days before we are supposed to move...and found out the previous tenants decided not to move out, and the owner never had anything in writing saying they were leaving..... So, I'm still stuck here.
I hate this place. Nothing works here. I've been here for 2 years...

When it's not always raining there'll be days like this
When there's no one complaining there'll be days like this
When everything falls into place like the flick of a switch
Well my mama told me there'll be days like this
When you don't need to worry there'll be days like this
When no one's in a hurry there'll be days like this
When you don't get betrayed by that old Judas kiss
Oh my mama told me there'll be days like this
When you don't need an answer there'll be days like this
When you don't meet a chancer there'll be days like this
When all the parts of the puzzle start to look like they fit
Then I must remember there'll be days like this
When everyone is up front and they're not playing tricks
When you don't have no freeloaders out to get their kicks
When it's nobody's business the way that you wanna live
I just have to remember there'll be days like this
When no one steps on my dreams there'll be days like this
When people understand what I mean there'll be days like this
When you ring out the changes of how everything is
Well my mama told me there'll be days like this
Oh my mama told me
There'll be days like this
Oh my mama told me
There'll be days like this
Oh my mama told me
There'll be days like this
Oh my mama told me
There'll be days like this

The main thing I hate about lcd's is the damn price. If I was rich I'd buy this one in a second.
It's got all the features I want.
500:1 contrast ratio
25 ms response
1280x1024 native res
and most importantly THIN BEZEL
God I would sell my soul so I could get 3 of those and be k1d and have a triple monitor flat panel lcd. Satan please answer my prayers for this.
