But anyway...

Here are my top 25 most played songs on my iTunes/iPod (though it's only been about 6 months) so you can mock at how wussy my musical tastes are

4. Shade & Honey
Alessandro Nivola
5. Haile's song

Some surprises, I guess Michael Moore's refusal to push farenheit 9/11 as a documentary and instead want it in the best picture category kinda didnt work out, no michael moore speech this year I guess.

Jamie Foxx not only gets the best actor nod but a supporting actor nomination for... collateral? where the fuck did that come from.

For all his praise Paul Giamatti gets snubbed for an acting nomination, yet darth vader kid got one... but ofcourse it was a tough choice between paul and jamie foxx for collateral!!!!

Passion of the christ got nothing except for a music score oscar.

Maybe this will finally be Scorsese's year.

Where the fuck did Million Dollar Baby come from and has anyone even seen a preview let alone the film?

Will Hillary Swank win a second oscar for playing a boy again?

I'm hoping Morgan Freeman finally gets a win, he more than deserves some recognition finally.

If Clint Eastwood wins back to back directing oscars and his 3rd overall, scorsese should just have him write and direct a movie for him.

I got threatened on the subway this morning!
Posted by: The Sleeper - 01-25-2005, 02:17 PM - Forum: The Pit - Replies (57)

I was sitting on a packed subway this morning, listening to o&a on my mp3 player as usual. So occasionally I smirk when they do something amusing. I try not to laugh audibly so I won't look like a maroon. But anyways, I might've caught a glance of this girl while I was smirking and she started staring at me. I thought nothing of it til a few minutes later, when she came over and started yelling "WHAT ARE YOU LAUGHING AT?" to me. I was startled to say the least, but I kept my cool and responded "I'm laughing at what I'm listening to", hoping to diffuse the situation. "YOU'RE LYING" she yelled! I was like "......no really, I'm not laughing at you." "YOU'RE LYING, YOU'RE LYING".

So at this point I'm not sure how to convince her that I wasn't laughing at her but before I could think of how to do this, she takes out a lighter and threatens me with it! This prompts the person next to me to get out of her chair (pussy!). So I keep trying to reassure her I'm not laughing at her, but she lights the lighter and waves it at me! So now I'm wondering if she's gonna light my hair on fire or some shit, but she decides to walk into her corner again. I chuckled to myself at the absurdity of the situation and she of course saw that and came after me and this time threatened to punch me in the face. I just sat there in disbelief. Finally, she gets off at one of the earlier stops but proceeds to bang on my window and give me the finger.

So is this an isolated incident or am I gonna get SCALDED WITH A LIGHTER eventually for listening to O&A on the subway?

Quote:On this tape you hear them introducing the "Tsunami Song," then Miss Jones and co-host Todd Lynn launching into an abusive tirade against Miss Info when she voices her objection to it. Miss Jones finally tells Info she's only complaining because "you feel superior, probably because you're Asian."

Then, after Miss Info has said the song is offensive to Asians, co-host Todd Lynn informs her: "I'm gonna start shooting Asians." Yes, he really says that. It's at 3:37 on the mp3.

And to top it off, and bring it full circle, the vocals on the song are from the show's producer, Rick Delgado. Yes, Rick from the Opie and Anthony show.
