anyone got a costume? dressing up & goin' to a party?

I was gonna do my usual Yankee thing but the party got cancelled, so I'll live through my son who's gonna be Batman this year (he picked it out all on his own, too).

and my body is crumbling.

I enjoy audiobooks when working or driving, so I downloaded a bunch of my favorite books in audio form to put on my ipod. I adore Edgar Allen Poe and my favorite story is "The Tell Tale Heart" it's a horrifying story, so well written.

So I was stoked to listen to it today while doing a bunch of paperwork and research. I am like 3 minutes into it and the fuckin guy reading it sounds like Ren from Ren & Stimpy, not just sounds like, I think it is him. It's taking me out of the story cause it's hilarious, yet its ruining the glorious work of Poe.

'nuff said.

I go outside for a smoke and I find my car being desicrated! Two squirrels are fucking on the hood of my car, just fuckin thumping away like it ain't no thing. I tried to shoo them away and the guy squirrel let out this strange bellow and I had to step back and guard my grill cause I thought we was gonna throw down.

He came to his senses and just scooted and tried to stare me down from across the street, I remember his fuckin face though and next time i'm gonna crack him.

my god....i've gone domesticated. I've bought a plasma tv. may god have mercy on my soul....but the fuckin thing is a godsend. Glengarry Glen Ross, with Jack Lemmon, Kevin Spacey, Al Pacino, Ed Harris, and company all saying "fuck", "cunt", and "shit" at a terrifying pace in 42 inches of HD majesty. Now, all I need to do is make a movie with my cell phone, and then plug it thru my TV, and DVR it so to watch it again and again, and I can loop my life via technology. On an interesting sidenote, Neil Postman's "Amusing Ourselves to Death" has been reprinted, and actually on the bookracks at a fabulous discount at BJ Wholesale and Costco....amid stacks of Shrimp Toast on a stick, iPods, and LCDs. I might be on my way to hell, but once I get my Xbox 360, I'll never know the difference.
