Childhood toys you wish you still had.
Posted by: Arthur Dent - 04-16-2002, 12:23 PM - Forum: The Pit - Replies (36)

Evryone has 'em. Those toys you loved as a kid, your mother threw out when you were a teenager "too cool" to play with toys, that you now wish you still had.

For me, it has to be the Millenium Falcon and the AT-AT walker that got thrown out when we moved. Yes, they were missing pieces. The Millenium Falcon was bought at a garage sale and the AT-AT was missing the two lasers on the head. But, damn. Those were great toys. Too bad when they make toys from a movie now, they have to be bigger than they were in the movie with all kinds of extra gadgets and stuff that were never in the movie.

So, which toys do you wish you still had around? If you had them, would you make a display case for them and show them as collectibles?

Weird and unexpected places where - You got some good food
Posted by: Sir O - 04-16-2002, 09:56 AM - Forum: The Pit - Replies (19)

I was on Rt. 1&9 coming back home from Piermont, NY. I was hungry, so I stopped at a mini mart. I got a chicken cutlet sandwich, and my god, that shit was GOOD AS ANYTHING!

Too bad I can't remember the name of the store, but it's the only mini mart on 1&9 in Piermont, so it can't be too hard to find. Trust me, it was a damn good sandwich.

Piermont, BTW, has some nice dirty-water-fishing, cool clubs, art galleries, and some great bars to chill. Highest recommendations from me....

Fun shapes to shave pubic hair into
Posted by: Arthur Dent - 04-16-2002, 09:04 AM - Forum: The Faggy Artistic Forum - Replies (22)

Always thought it would be cool to shave a woman's pubic hair into the shape of an arrow pointing down.

Smiley face would be fun, but I think you'd need to pluck the hairs with tweezers to make the eyes and mouth. Not a problem to me, but I think she might object.

What shapes would or have you done?

Do women get turned on by the idea of shaving man-junk?

  Mtv2's most controversial videos
Posted by: Sir O - 04-16-2002, 07:33 AM - Forum: Noise Pollution - Replies (6)

Well, Cablevision finally decided to carry MTV2. At first I was unimpressed for the most part, but that all changed tonight when they aired their Most Controversial Videos special. I probably missed some of it, as the Mets game went into extra innings, but what I did see fuckin' ruled the world. Did anyone else see it?

A few observations:

The uncensored version of Pearl Jam's "Jeremy" is great. There's only one short clip that's not in the regular MTV version, but that one clip really does make the video. Very good stuff.

Eminem's "Stan" is probably the most powerful video I've seen since Metallica's "One." Something about it just really moved me. The uncensored version is exponentially better than the MTV version, and really showcases music video as an art form, rather than simple entertainment. You need to see this.

Prodigy's "Smack My Bitch Up" is basically a porno. I never thought I'd actually see gash on a regular cable channel, much less one with "MTV" in the name. Great video, great imagery, disturbing yet enthralling.

Ditto Metallica's "Turn The Page." I had never seen the regular version (if there is one), so I can't make a comparison, but this really was excellent. The violent sex scene at the end is just awesome, and tied everything together.

There's so much more, but you need to see for yourself. Does anyone know when they'll air this again? I really need to record it...

Michael Campbell of Laurie Intermediate School charged with intent to sell cocaine in Brooklyn

Monday, April 15, 2002

By MICHAEL SCHOLL
ADVANCE STAFF WRITER

The man in charge of laying down the law for students at a New Springville intermediate school was behind bars last night after narcotics cops arrested him for allegedly trying to sell cocaine on a Brooklyn street.

Michael Campbell, 38, the dean of students at Laurie Intermediate School, was found to be in possession of about 20 grams of cocaine when he was arrested around 7:30 p.m. yesterday near the corner of Bay 16th Street and 84th Street in the Bath Beach section of the borough.

Campbell, a resident of Boulder Street in Annadale, was nabbed by officers from the Brooklyn South Narcotics Unit conducting a "buy and bust" operation, police said.

Campbell was found to be in possession of 10 aluminum tins filled with powder cocaine, a police source said. Each tin contained about two grams of the drug.

A two-gram tin of cocaine has a street value of between $50 to $100, depending on the purity of the drug.

Police also found a small amount of marijuana in one of Campbell's pockets, the source said.

Police said Campbell was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance with an intent to sell. He faces up to 25 years in prison if convicted of the charge.

He also faces a misdemeanor charge of marijuana possession.

Campbell is expected to be arraigned in Brooklyn Criminal Court today.

It was unclear whether Campbell was caught in a random drug sweep or as part of a long term police investigation.

Police would not say if Campbell was suspected of conducting drug sales on the grounds of Laurie Intermediate.

News of Campbell's arrest was greeted with shock by Roberta Kofflert, the president of Laurie's Parent-Teacher Association

"I find it really hard to believe," Ms. Kofflert said. "He's innocent until proven guilty and I'm sure there's a story to this."

Ms. Kofflert said Campbell has done an excellent job at Laurie.

"He's a terrific dean," she said. "He's very well respected.

"He does a great job at the school."

Reached at school this morning, Peter Macellari, the principal of Laurie Intermediate, said he has not been officially notified of Campbell's arrest. He also said he could not comment on the situation.

Goldberg = dumbass - Broke his arm in a rage....tsk tsk
Posted by: Jack - 04-15-2002, 10:12 PM - Forum: The Faggy Artistic Forum - Replies (2)

Quote:Dara Torez was on the Dan Patrick show today talking about the celebrity car race she was in on Friday night, the one Bill Goldberg was in. The highlight was her saying she beat out Goldberg for the pole, and thought that he was pissed off about it. Before the race started Goldberg pulled her to the side and said not to worry, he would help her keep it a clean start and wouldn't try to wreck her. She said he was true to his word, but that she quickly lost site of him in her rear view mirror. When she came back around the track, Goldberg's car was totaled and he was standing next to it. Later she found out he had to go to the hospital. She said that she had caught up with him later that day and asked him what happened. He explained to her that his gear box broke, and it pissed him off so he started pounded on the gear shifter, so hard that he broke his arm in two different places!! She said he seemed in good spirits and was trying to look at the positive of it, but didn't really said what that positive side was! ... Thanks to Pastor Phil and J’me Harris for also sending along a report.

Fucking idiot.
