  Tv shows on dvd
Posted by: GonzoStyle - 02-27-2002, 08:51 PM - Forum: Entertainment Unlimited - Replies (19)

They're starting to release a lot of TV show sets on DVD. The Sopranos which just released the 2nd season on DVD. Sex & The City, Queer As folk have all come out on DVD.

Now Oz's 1st season is coming in march along with the complete 1st seasons of Friends & All In The family. Some other shows like The Simpsons have also been released.

What are some TV shows you'd love to see come out on DVD? I personally will be 1st in line when the complete Honeymooners collection comes out on DVD. Also The Odd Couple is another great old show that I would love to own. I'd get the simpsons but not the 1st season. Definetly The Benny Hill show, that was always fuckin funny. I could watch Benny Hill for hours, the only funny thing England ever produced except for their teeth.

Hey there, people, I'm
They say I'm the cutest boy in town
My car is fast, my teeth is shiney
I tell all the girls they can kiss my heinie
Here I am at a famous school
I'm dressin' sharp 'n' I'm
actin' cool
I got a cheerleader here wants to help with my paper
Let her do all the work 'n' maybe later I'll rape her

Oh God I am the American dream
I do not think I'm too extreme
An' I'm a handsome sonofabitch
I'm gonna get a good job 'n' be real rich

(get a good
get a good
get a good
get a good job)

Women's Liberation
Came creepin' across the nation
I tell you people I was not ready
When I fucked this dyke by the name of Freddie
She made a little speech then,
Aw, she tried to make me say "when"
She had my balls in a vice, but she left the dick
I guess it's still hooked on, but now it shoots too quick

Oh God I am the American dream
But now I smell like Vaseline
An' I'm a miserable sonofabitch
Am I a boy or a lady...I don't know which

(I wonder wonder
wonder wonder)

So I went out 'n' bought me a leisure suit
I jingle my change, but I'm still kinda cute
Got a job doin' radio promo
An' none of the jocks can even tell I'm a homo
Eventually me 'n' a friend
Sorta drifted along into S&M
I can take about an hour on the tower of power
'Long as I gets a little golden shower

Oh God I am the American dream
With a spindle up my butt till it makes me scream
An' I'll do anything to get ahead
I lay awake nights sayin', "Thank you, Fred!"
Oh God, oh God, I'm so fantastic!
Thanks to Freddie, I'm a sexual spastic
And my name is
Watch me now, I'm goin down,
And my name is
Watch me now, I'm goin down...</center>

Best movies adapted from a book.
Posted by: GonzoStyle - 02-27-2002, 08:34 PM - Forum: Entertainment Unlimited - Replies (17)

What are some of the best movies you've seen derived from a book? Movies where you watched them and they made you wanna go and read the book? I'm not adding any classic novels such as Shakespeare I only say that cause there are so many great adaptions of Hamlet, Richard III, etc. Or Tolstoy & dostoyevsky but I do consider them some of the greatest adaptions ever. Here's some of my picks.

AN AMERICAN TRAGEDY (A PLACE IN THE SUN)
HEARTS OF DARKNESS (APOCALYPSE NOW)
THE SILENCE OF THE LAMBS
GRAPES OF WRATH
STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE
TWELEVE ANGRY MEN
FIGHT CLUB
THE DAY OF THE JACKAL
THE GODFATHER
THE EXORCIST
JAWS

EDIT* Thanks for fixing the title whoever it was.

Wwf news & notes week of 2/25
Posted by: GonzoStyle - 02-27-2002, 08:18 PM - Forum: The Faggy Artistic Forum - Replies (11)

- Chris Benoit is hoping to wrestle some matches in HWA before his full-time return to the WWF later this spring.

- Pat Patterson is expected to be heavily involved in booking and laying out the content for the Rock-Hogan match at Wrestlemania. Patterson is close with both Hogan and Rock and has a great reputation for coming up with some great match designs.

- When the nWo first met with Vince McMahon to discuss their storylines and matches for Wrestlemania, Kevin Nash's feelings were apparently hurt that McMahon did not have anything planned for him. The first idea was for Nash to face the Undertaker but was soon scrapped since they were both heels and because the match might make both wrestlers look bad in the ring.

-Seeing that Scott Steiner worked the WWA PPV last weekend, talk about a possible deal with the WWF is circulating throughout the wrestling industry. Those close to Steiner say that he is "almost" back to his optimal in-ring condition according to 1wrestling, and by his performance at Sunday's PPV it looks as though he is definitely making progress. As far as his injured foot goes, it is partially healed, thus allowing im to work while wearing a brace for support and proper positioning.

As reported a few weeks ago, Steiner did undergo a physical at the request of the WWF. No problems were found and all was promising. Afterward (the last week or so), the WWF started talking to Steiner about joining the WWF, but no agreement has been reached as of this report.

Additionally, Steiner was called to the New Japan dojo in Los Angeles on Monday where he filmed a few spots that will air on New Japan's TV show, which shows their obvious pursuit of him as well.

-Apparently, WWA owner Andrew McManus initially offered Randy Savage a percentage of the company, instead of his original salary demand of $5 million per year. When a deal wasn't settled, Savage requested $250,000 to be placed into his escrow account solely for appearing at Sunday's pay per view event. McManus was said to have offered Savage $125,000 for the one off appearance, which he rejected. Despite McManus's proceeding desperation by literally begging, Savage said that he was advised by his business manager to miss the event. Savage had given XWF officials the impression that he'd make the pay per view by allowing his name to be used for promotion, among several other factors.

- Jerry Lynn's WWF contract expired 2 days prior to the WWA pay per view, at which point he was immediately contacted by WWA personnel. As a result, Lynn agreed to make an appearance at the show on Sunday.

Black Jack Brown of the Chicago Sun Times hinted at the possibility of seeing the Ultimate Warrior return to the WWF. It was stated earlier this month that Hulk Hogan had been lobbying for his return along with a few other superstars, thus giving Brown's rumor validity along with the fact that Hogan faced the Warrior at WM 6 in Toronto as well. Here is what he stated: The Rock has recruited the services of a man who defeated Hulk Hogan at ''WrestleMania'' in the same city 12 years ago. I will reveal the details of the Rock's Ultimate surprise on the hotline.

The unnoficial, official late raw review.
Posted by: GonzoStyle - 02-27-2002, 08:08 PM - Forum: The Faggy Artistic Forum - No Replies

Raw pretty much was a filler show this past monday. No real new developments just another show killing time till wrestlemania. There's really nothing more to do before wrestlemania, all the fueds and matches are pretty much set. You just build on the rivalries till then. I think there biggest mistake is their main event though. Jericho & HHH isn't that big a match for the main event of their biggest event of the year. But given that it is the main event they should pay more attention to the story line and its development, they need more mic time and promos with eachother. We all know HHH & Y2J have great mic skills they just aren' given the chance.

Hall Vs. Austin is getting too much attention, albeit the hit with the cynderblock to austins knee was the highlight of the show. They need the Rock bad ASAP cause it's not like anyone gives a shit about the match itself. We all want the promos between Hogan & Rock that's where the real gold lies. The only further developments I can forsee is the fact that Angle & Nash don't have matches yet, so they need to do something with that. God forbid Angle gets thrown in with HHH & Jericho in a triple threat though.

Chuck & Billy need to lose the titles, yet I doubt they will give APA the win at WM. The triple threat with Big Show, RVD & Lance storm was such bullshit as well. RVD has the #1 contendorship for the IC title though so we can expect RVD Vs. Regal now. I think the better move would be having Edge win back the IC title cause that would be the best match for WM. Picture it RVD Vs. Edge, that could give edge the huge push he needs and deserves as well as RVD.

Booker T Vs. Rikishi was a horrible match. Then again no matter how much I hated Booker, he's grown on me now. Him learning Japanese was actually a funny angle.

Mr. Perfect Vs. Stone Cold? The match proved nothing and it was pointless. It was a clean and easy victory for stone cold, then again embarassing Curt Henning always funny.

The beating Arn Anderson got from Taker though was great. Anderson must have picked up his blading techniques from either Flair or Austin cause he was bleeding like a fuckin pig.

What I'm hoping to see at smackdown is probably Rocks comeback. Austin will probably be absent due to the hit on RAW but thankfully that will give us a break from nWo vs. Austin and get back to The Rock & Hogan more. Flair and Taker will probably hog up some mic time. Plus hopefully we will see HHH, jericho and Steph cause that's a fuckin goldmine.

Title: Let Me Be Free

(Bridge)
Is it me that you want is it really me,
take control of my mind, but let me be free.
Is it me that you want is it really me.
take control of my heart, but let me be free.
(chorus)
But let me be free (2x)
(Sub chorus)
But let me be free, yeah (2x)
Many things in life are for free, but your love is what I really need.
Even thoug it's like joy and pain, I say the same with no shame
Don't try to change my way .Love me as I am,that's the plan.
Is it me so get to the point and let me be free.
(Bridge)
(Chorus)
I need to know right now,
or let me be free but I don't know how
to satisfy and I won't lie,
It hurts my heart when I make you cry.
Positive I am I want to be your man
but you can't understand
Is it me so get to the point or let me be free.
(Bridge)
(Chorus)
(Sub chorus)
What you want me to be.
I can't be 'cause it's got to be me.
Live my life like I always do,
live in my own world but I need you.
And only you but you're so complex,
think about it know and pass the test.
Is it me so get to the point or let me be free.

  Mp3s - Websites
Posted by: Keyser Soze - 02-27-2002, 05:15 PM - Forum: Über Geek Zone - Replies (10)

I want to grab some MP3s to listen to here at work. Problem is, I don't want to install Napster or Morpheus or some other application. Is there a decent website besides MP3.com that I can get them from. I remember inapnow.com used to have them but I think they're defunct now. Any help is appreciated.
