Quote:18 Struck in Hit-Run Rampage
Driver cuts midtown swath
of horror & escapes
A hit-and-run driver suspected of shooting a New Jersey woman sparked mayhem on midtown Manhattan streets yesterday — mowing down 18 pedestrians in a wild, zigzag ride of terror, police said. The driver struck people at six spots — starting near Penn Station and ending in Chelsea, where he plowed into a group of high school students while zooming the wrong way down a side street. None of the injuries was life-threatening.
After the man dumped the battered car and ran, cops found a purse in the back seat containing the wallet of a New Jersey woman who was shot and critically wounded Sunday, police sources said.
"That guy was crazy," said Zhang Ji, a teacher at Liberty High School on W. 18th St. "I turned around, I don't know where he was coming from."
Cops were hunting last night for the driver, who was last seen fleeing into a subway station. Police said they found blood in the car, indicating the suspect may be injured.
The green Buick Regal was registered to Ronald Popadich, 38, of Garfield, N.J., and his elderly mother said he was driving the car yesterday. Police could not confirm that Popadich was the suspected hit-and-run driver.
Hey, now this is just wonderful. Some asshole thought it would be a great idea to play Twisted Metal in real time yesterday. What I truely find odd is that Mayor Bloomberg is cutting down on cops, yet, we didn't seem to have enough yesterday to stop this guy from driving all over town on his little joy ride.

I have spent the last 5 days ripping 20 more gigs of tunez to my hard drive and I came across some cd's that got my brain going.
What cd's were you looking so foward to that you had to have them asap but winded up sucking to no end?
To start off:
Metallica:Load Yeah, they named this one right. I went to Tower records the night before and waited four hours for it to be released. I am all for bands expanding themselves, but, this was nothing short of Metallilight.
Silverchair:Freak Show Guess heavy metal's answer to hanson lasted just as long as Hanson did.
Pantera:Reinventing The Steel Pretty much the exact opisite of Metallica, Pantera has done absolutely nothing to change anything at all. IMO, that is not really a good thing either.

| Goldust, godfather, val, and curt... - Do the wwf really need these guys back? |

When I heard that Goldust along with Val Venis, Curt Henning, and the Godfather were coming back I was wondering how they could bring these guys back in.
However, after last night's RAW watching Godfather get punked by Angle, Mr. Perfect with a stupid chess vignette, and goldust flaming it up; bringing down RVD and (gasp) even Rikishi... I thought 'With all the underused and overabundant talent in the WWF, why the hell do they need to bring back these guys?'
At first they brought in Perfect and Val Venis to fued with Austin after the Rumble, which went absolutely NOWHERE. Next the big 'Valboski', was on Exxcess (Yes, it's still on) explaining his futile (cough) career. Then, they bring in Goldust to fued with RVD... my question is, 'Why would they bring an X-Pac caliber feg like goldust back out of limbo to drag down a crowd favorite, charismatic young talent like Rob Van Dam?' Where could this angle possibly go? I can only seeing it ending in a flaming (pardon the pun) wreckage like most storylines being written by Paul Heyman and the rest of the WWF writers.
What about the HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO train? Well... I hope we can keep that a little while... even though I believe the Godfather should not of been absolutely raped by Angle on RAW.
Do we REALLY need these guys back? :bouncer:
Edit- Yes, I know of the split.. but with aging talent, and numerous youthfull and powerfull up and comers... the question is again thrown in your lap like a cup of Mc Donald's coffee. :poison:

My friends and myself have been debating whether or not one of our friends has a drinking problem.
What tipped us off is the other day when the dude walked out of his apt saying "I'm going out to buy some diapers." Keep in mind the guy doesn't have kids.
What was your worst excuse ever to cover your tracks for going out and drinking?

Since I am just a fuckin woman when it comes to buying shit so I own all of these and after wasting 129 hours on Final Fantasy, I have hit a rut in deciding what to play next. I left my sports games off the list for I always throw them in from time to time. Write in ids for any ideas if there is something new to go buy that is a must play.
So help me out, guys.
Keep it to PS2, though. I don't play games on the comp. And, GameCube does nothing for me. I am in the process of learning how to burn DC games so I just want to get some worth out of the Ps2 at this point.

| Nyc subway wimp - A new game to play |

I was on the subway yesterday and the train was somewhat crowded. A regular cast of typical New Yorkers. Ya had your wops, chinks, darkies, ricans, towel heads, etc..... Quite a few chicks - young, old, ugly, hot.....
It was a long train ride and I was bored so I started to play a game in my own head. "what kind of haircut does she have?" Sometimes it obvious, the chick is well groomed, good makeup, nice hair, she's got at least a trimmed bush if not woodfloor.
Then I see this woman who, for the life of me, scared the shit out of me..... Snuka's mom. I didn't have to guess. She was wearing a dress and she had dreadlocks hanging down from under her skirt. Small children were using her hair as a tarzan rope.
Needless to say, I don't play that game anymore. I've been traumatized. I need a new game. Any suggestions?

We have decided that since Seph had the lead in the last poll anyway and that we want a replacement, like now, Seph will be the new Pit mod. We does mean management and if you have a complaint, well, I don't know what to tell you actually.
With Kid A's childish, moronic, idotic, assinine behavior of yesterday morning, I just think we need a mod back in here pronto. There is still 4 other forums up for vote so don't get all pissy over this.
As for those four forums, I want to try and get polls going for people who post often in said forums and will represent those forums has a whole. They will not be limited to said forums but I want a good representitive for each of them.
Thank you and congrats Seph.

Since we all have such diverse tastes in music around here, I was wondering what all of you would consider the greatest song, or songs ever written. I have a list of 5, but feel free to only include one if you wish.
5) Bohemian Rhapsody - Queen
4) Freebird - Lynyrd Skynyrd
3) Hotel California - Eagles
2) Stairway To Heaven - Led Zeppelin
1) American Pie - Don McLean
